Type shii… To all the tampering Head Coaches and Assistant coaches and flunkies… just call me and lmk if you want to recruit our players. Leave them and their families alone. Call me. I’ll see if they want to play for your programs. Yall have my number.
Someone shot a sky hook in workouts yesterday. I immediately thought of Kareem Abdul - Jabar.
Guys on the team started yelling “Kuuuuzzzzzzzz”.
Shoutout to the next generation.
@kylekuzma
Friartown, you gave us EVERYTHING YOU HAD this season. At the AMP, on the road, in the Bahamas, PCBC, at the Garden. Everything you had! Thank you.
- We are far from where we will be. But we are really proud of our groups fight and resolve. Now we wait for Sunday night.

Odd. I never seen any videos of him in the gym all summer with videographers in the middle of the workout. I never see him tweeting every time he’s working on his game. I never see him constantly RTing all the “love”. He wasn’t tweeting about how good his season was about to be.
Tre Gomillion is my favorite Mizzou Tiger of all time. Humility, Toughness and Team personified. Hodge is special as well. Exceptional season for the Tigers.
I’m excited for 12 years from now, to see where these kids go to college. 16 years from now, to hear what their careers are. 40 years from now to see how THEIR children end up. LeBron has just altered the trajectory of generations. Possibly broken the cycle of poverty for many!
LeBron’s legacy is so much greater than basketball. He is changing lives. The fact that he’s somehow managed to be a better person than a basketball player is nothing short of amazing
3 Upper Class-men drafted from the same team. Grant Williams, Admiral Schofield, Jordan Bone. Guys who WON, DEVELOPED, PRODUCED AND WORKED themselves into NBA Players. Kudos to Rick Barnes, Coaching Staff and the Teammate’s of those guys. The culture of
@Vol_Hoops
is different.
Instead of yelling at officials (who are making $10 per game to ref bad basketball on a Sunday) for fouls. Tell your son to stop driving in there and forcing up terrible shots.
Young Basketball Coaches: Don’t fall prey to the gross social media self promotion and gimmicks that you see from a select few of today’s Head Coaches. Take the old school approach and just wrk your butt off. Perfect your craft, study the game and grind. This foolery will pass
What is wrong with this dude??? Im blown away by the two candidates we HAVE to choose from. So many impressive ppl in the United States of America. And we are stuck with these two options. Unreal.
A father of an incoming freshman asked me what his son should focus on to give himself the best chance to play impactful minutes in his first season.
My answer: Quick Thread….
I'm wondering why everyone seems so sure Providence is not getting in. 6-9 vs Quad 1, 3-4 vs Quad 2, no other losses in 3 and 4. That's way better than a lot of bubble teams.
For example FAU is 2-2 and 7-2 with two Quad 4 losses.
Michigan State is 3-9 and 6-5.
Give Jay Wright his flowers. Every last one of them. Architect and CEO of the gold standard. The BEST program in college basketball the last decade. Evaluate, develop, Coach.
20th All Time in Division I Coaching wins. Tying Don Haskins and Phog Allen. Congrats to Coach Barnes. Captured this moment the other day. I know that these moments and the men his players become are his “WHY”.
Yesterday we welcomed our second baby girl into the world. Ari English and momma are both healthy and happy. Our move to Rocky Top is officially complete.
I love Lebron James with all my heart. But at the end of the day, you just have to come to the realization that the Golden State Warriors were 73-9 and added Kevin Durant!
End of discussion.
I hope the well documented trend of NBA players HOOPING this summer trickled down through College and HS basketball. Put up all the cones and go HOOP!!!
Imagine if you ran your absolute hardest EVERY TIME in transition offense and transition defense. Imagine the impact you’d make on your team. Imagine how much you’d stand out in a game where most players are only running as hard as they think they need to. Run HARD. It’s a skill.
Bridge closure and all… we still need you at the AMP! Four straight home games. Sacred Heart, Marquette, Butler, Seton Hall. Just got my haircut in East Providence. Enduring the voyage now around the I-195 issue. Pop in a podcast. It’s not that bad. Mindset
All in on Mason students. Student section is first row to rafters 35 mins before tip. Truly a great sight. Do y’all want me to bring you Pizza, Donuts or coffee in the dorms during finals week? Im coming thru.
I found a really talented artist on Instagram from North Carolina to recreate my favorite scene from
#TheLastDance
. It’s going in my office and will be a conversation piece forever on mindset and competitiveness.
This is embarrassing and DISGUSTING!!! That’s what they said about Jackie Robinson and Tiger Woods.
@espn
. Gross!! No place for this crap in sports. The beauty of sports is that our teams are beautifully connected regardless of race, creed, anything.
Providence’s Devin Carter w/ a 42” max vertical leap, tied for the best at the NBA Draft Combine.
Also tied the top standing vert mark at 35”.
Looking really bouncy.
Ending drives by making “two footed plays”: Villanova has to lead the nation in this. It keeps the offensive possession alive. Always under control. If you don’t have a clear angle to score, gather and play off of “two feet”.
