Also, I'd gone in to work today feeling tired and grumpy. After assembly, during break, the y5 teacher asked to see me. A lad in her class going through all sorts of stuff but who wasn't willing to talk about it recognised himself in this poem and wanted to talk. Reader, we wept.

When I was a kid, no one at school ever told me there was a space called poetry where I could write about the stuggles I was going through. Poetry really can give children, young people and adults a space to unlock all that stuff going on in their heads.

Good news: My Grandma, Steffi, who is nearly 89, tested positive for Covid 19 a couple of weeks ago in the Alzheimer's care home where she lives - she'd been a bit off colour for a week or so before the test. She is no longer displaying symptoms and eating and drinking fine! 🤞
