So sad to hear of the passing of Barbara Walters. What an honor to share the set
@ABC
with the inimitable trailblazer when I joined
@abc2020
. Will never forget the phone call when she asked me to join the groundbreaking program.
I'm honored and humbled to step into a new role as Co-Anchor at
@ABC2020
, alongside my colleague David Muir. Following in the footsteps of Barbara Walters is an honor.
As many of you now know my hubby is battling prostate cancer. We are prayerful and hopeful he will be fine. Thanks for all the kind words, prayers and positivity.
Wow. Olympic swimmer Klete Keller is named as one of rioters at the Capitol. So many arrests around the country today including an OH school therapist.
So very sad to lose my oldest sister, Annette. She was a warm and inspirational presence in my life. Dementia claimed her as it does more than 200 thousand Americans each year. A despicable disease which I hope we will find a cure for one day
Love this photo of four of our surviving presidents on this President’s Day. Poignant given that 98-year-old Pres Carter is in hospice care as he enters the sunset of his remarkable life.
Sad news from Georgia. 96-year-old Former First Lady Rosalynn Carter has entered hospice care at home along her 99-year-old husband President Jimmy Carter, according to The Carter Center. Both failing in health, they are spending their final days at home.
Like many of you I’m utterly speechless and so saddened to hear that a ray of light has suddenly gone out. Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss, who brought us such joy on the Ellen Degeneres show, has died. Apparently self inflicted. Prayers for his family.
Celebrating
@alroker
and his new documentary Gaining Ground , about black American farmers in their fight to hold on to their land and make a future for future generations. Congratulations to my brilliant husband
Ran across this pic of Barbara Walters greeting my awestruck parents after my wedding. I smiled thinking of how special she made them feel. Such memories
So delighted and honored to receive The Peabody award for
@abc20
/20 coverage of the Breonna Taylor story which I reported along with a talented and dedicated team!
Wow!! Twin sisters Gloria and Victoria Guerrier are the valedictorian and salutatorian at their Long Island high school - and they’re heading off to Yale, TOGETHER! Their parents must be proud…
How sad to hear that actress and Uber businesswoman, Suzanne Somers, has died. She was going to turn 77 tomorrow. She had fought breast cancer for more than 2 decades. Will never forget her “Chrissy” in the hit show Three’s Company.
Took in the Andre Leon Talley exhibit with my guy at Christie’s last night. A breathtaking collection of luxury and personal items. And he’s leaving the proceeds from this auction to two black churches.
Jimmy Carter astounds me. Years after a cancer diagnosis …months entering hospice, the former governor of Georgia, US president and humanitarian turns 99 today. Happy birthday Mr. President
Former president Jimmy Carter is remarkable. The 98 year old ailing statesman who’s been in hospice for months, showed up in an SUV at a Georgia festival with his 96 year old wife Rosalyn. He will turn 99 in a week. God bless him!
It’s a gut punch to hear this news. Tina Turner. The legend. The survivor. The champion of so much that is soulful and fun has died at 83. So sad. But so grateful for her legacy!
Another big decision. Naomi Osaka says she will withdraw from Wimbledon to take care of herself and be ready for the Olympics. New poster child for self care?
So sad to hear of Celine Dion’s health challenges. She announced on social media that she’s dealing with a neurological disorder which is keeping her offstage. Says she’s hoping for a recovery. Prayers for her and her family.
So saddened by the loss of a sunny and happy voice in the music world. Jimmy Buffett is dead at 76. You can’t drink a margarita without thinking of him and his hit song “Margaritaville”. He brought joy and a beach vibe to so many of us. RIP.
A big congratulations to my dear friend and
@ABC2020
co-anchor
@DavidMuir
, who is receiving the prestigious Walter Cronkite award today. No surprise given his accomplishments in the TV biz.
So very sad to hear that actress Sandra Bullock has lost her partner in love and life. Bryan Randall died after a quiet battle with ALS. He was only 57. She spoke lovingly of him and his example over the years.
A woman is leading Harvard University for only the second time in history, and she’s breaking another barrier. Claudine Gay is the first person of color to be named president. Congrats to her!
Sad news. Norman Lear, the genius behind iconic sit coms including All in The Family and Good Times, has died at 101. What a life! What an incredible legacy!
Former president Jimmy Carter is 98 today. Wow! The oldest surviving president, he’s taught us all how to walk the talk about caring for this planet and our fellow human. Happy birthday 🎈🎉
