Now he’s gone, can the police now investigate the billions gifted, lost, given, taken, whatever, during PPE. There are a lot of people out there, who are very rich from our pains. We need to petition the police.
You know the system is broken when we have the BP boss earning £11 million per year, while plenty of our pensioners either heat or eat. I would say that’s pretty chuffing broken, wouldn’t you.
How clever an illusion is it that working class people (like me), actually support the Tories, who do nothing remotely positive for them. They then defend their misdemeanours, as if they are in some way the same as them. Part of the gang.
This really is the weirdest phenomenon.
I’m amazed how someone from a billionaire family (Sunak) can be expected to make rational decisions for the 99% of us normal people. It’s impossible for him to understand our concerns and worries. It cannot work.
I would love to get to a 1000 followers by close of play today. To promote change with like minded people to share views and expand our knowledge of the world. It hasn’t always been like it is now. It can change for the better

In case anyone is with Scottish Power for their energy supply, it may surprise you to know that their CEO is being paid over £1million per annum. Just think of this when you see your elderly family struggling. They are paying that.
I have to say I really couldn’t care less if it’s Truss or Sunak. They are both part of the same clique, so nothing will change, the country will grow weaker, they richer and the people poorer.
Electricity going up, Gas going up, Mortgages going up, National Insurance going up and the chancellor offers to lend us £200. This shows how absolutely out of touch and clueless this crew really are when it comes to normal people. This is only the start.
Why are so many companies that provide PPE for a living, saying that at the start of the pandemic, they could not get the government to purchase from their supply chains?
@implausibleblog
@de_prudhoe
General Election is the only answer. I don’t think the country can afford another 12 months of Tory created misery. It may not recover.
So it’s official. The ‘secret’ meet with Sue Gray and Johnson, was instigated by number 10 officials. Now we all wonder why that was necessary from an independent report. Even hardened Tory followers must start realising this guy is taking us all for fools.
@JohnnyMercerUK
@FredThomasUK
Tory=Integrity??? You just lost all credibility when mentioning integrity in that tweet. You may as well quit now. God I hope the PPE giveaway gets investigated properly when you jokers are out of office.
@mikegoulden
@uksciencechief
Purely privatisation. The NHS will be pushed to a standstill and this will be the great catalyst to change. I see no other reason why they would throw it to the dogs. Remember those making the decisions stand to make huge sums if I’m right. You and the patients do not.
I can give you 400 million reasons Nazanin ZR was released. None of them are anything to do with the negotiating skills of Boris Johnson or Liz Truss I’m afraid.
@JMPSimor
Wow a whole 20 million. Well done. Fantastic work that. That only leaves £36,980 million left to cover the cost of track and trace. Maybe you could approach those you gave our money to and demand it back? Just an idea.
@implausibleblog
This is the issue with this government. They take money from you and expect you to say thank you. I’m just waiting on the SFO getting involved in looking at the fast lane gifts to various people for PPE.
Is everyone loving this feeling of freedom that Johnson speaks of. Free to give more money to the petrol stations. Free to give more to our energy companies. Free to queue for hours at airports. Free to pay more in tax and nat ins. What more could we ever ask for than freedom.
@TriTim
@PeterStefanovi2
@CommonsSpeaker
So true. I have not watched something for ages, that has made me cringe as much as the puppets he has supporting him this morning. It’s like they consider this a joke of some kind.
It’s funny how 20 years ago a politician getting caught owing £3Million to the tax man would have been major news. Now with all the other misdeeds, it is almost expected. Similar to the seatbelt Sunak law breaking. It no longer matters as law does not apply to them.

I wonder if they lost due to the PPE fiasco or was it Cronyism or maybe India not being on the red list quick enough, or could it be excluded UK, mortgage prisoners or the cladding scandal. Maybe not shutting down quick enough or the number of Covid deaths. Selling the NHS maybe?
Shell and Centrica £11 Billion profit. Let that sink in. While the country suffers. While our elderly and vulnerable panic, while hard working people fear for their future, they allow this to happen under our noses. This national disgrace needs to stop and quick.
‘SHELL’ £38 billion a year, £87 million a day, £3.6 million an hour, £60,000 per minute. They just made about £25,000 while I typed this tweet and yet a pensioner died this week of hypothermia. My god this government need to get an effing grip with fuel costs, this is vile.
I wonder if the reaction would have been the same, had the 30 deaths been British citizens who drowned in the channel? When did human life become so inconsequential?
Good to see the
@GoodLawProject
has finally won the right to uncover the identities of those treated as VIPs under contracts awarded as part of the Government’s £37 billion pound Test and Trace programme. Now this will make for interesting reading……
Should we have an in depth independent investigation into the Government’s handling of the pandemic and the financial cost to all of us, the taxpayers. If so, who should handle this investigation and what should be the consequences.
I’m amazed how anyone with a degree of intelligence and common sense can say they support this current crop of Tories. I really don’t see how it’s possible.
@JohnLewisEU
75,000 working homeless and yet Robert Jenrick claims £100,000 of OUR money on a 3rd home. Something went very wrong, somewhere along the way. Someone needs to take charge and get them out.
So the government are chasing
#LoanCharge
monies. However, what about the billions given away in PPE donations. Oh wait a minute, that was it, ‘given away’ being the operative phrase.
Really is no surprise the BBC is behaving this way. Hopefully Gary and Ian will be offered a rival show on ITV. Even less reason to watch anything on the BBC now.
Ian Wright won't appear on Match of the Day - reaction as Gary Lineker steps back
These politicians cannot lay straight in bed. Sunak now coming out with the moral reasons he stood down. That’s after a dozen moral issues he ignored previously. Why not be honest and say you resigned, so you could stand for PM. Enough with the lies. We are fed up with them.
@BladeoftheS
I heard he was going to build 50,000 new hospitals and recruit 3 million nurses and 200,000 new Drs. On the other hand I could be making it up, like Rishi Walter Mitty does!
@GoodLawProject
I would love to know how much those in power have actually made from the pandemic. It would be fascinating if we could just find out. Just a glimpse at the true value of Covid to them.
@mrjamesob
@Juliest101
God help us if he’s chosen to be PM. Don’t trust anything he says. Stood down from being Chancellor on moral grounds the other day. Nothing to do with now wanting to stand for PM. They must think we are all raving idiots. Maybe we are.
She needs arresting and this whole sorry mess needs unravelling immediately by the police and HMRC so the money taken given unlawfully can be recovered under the proceeds of crime act. The most disgusting abuse of power, for financial gain, in my lifetime.
2/2 where is the rest? Is anyone checking to make sure it's disposed of safely? Or is this the new normal to just give millions and billions of £££s of Government contracts to Tory mates with absolutely zero accountability?
Are we now looking at a definite resignation for
@BorisJohnson
I hope he goes. He is way out of his depth for that job. He should stand down and let someone else take over who actually knows what they are doing. Problem is who on earth could that be?
@JolyonMaugham
About bloody time they started to realise that people do care about what happens to all the money paid in to this cartel. It’s not a free ride on our backs..
@mikegalsworthy
So we wasn’t free before, being able to go into any country in the EU hassle free. I don’t think people feel as free now as they cannot afford to go anywhere. It now costs a fortune to fill the car up and so must sit in a cold home, that costs to much to heat. So much freedom.!
I honestly cannot ever forget the billions of public funds given away for PPE that never ever resulted in useable equipment being received. Until this is thoroughly and correctly investigated, without bias, trust will not return for me, no matter who sits in the driving seat.
I’m amazed that I am still seeing people tweeting sewage about how the Tories are doing a marvellous job. How do these people leave the house unattended during the day. It puzzles me.

Stick around for as long as he can to cause as much grief and damage as possible. Ensuring he and his gang members make/take as much as possible.
Oh Sorry, I thought you asked what will he do. What he should do is easy, GO.
It does make me laugh when you hear Sunak and Truss speak about how bad things are and how they are going to change things using all the same people that have created this in the first place.
@JolyonMaugham
@LCWF_TBK
Can we attempt to recover these funds if proved illegal, proceeds of crime etc?
Clearly all is not well with this government position. However, what is the next step to hold them accountable for this?
Isn’t it about time that we stood up against the vicious greed and profiteering of the energy companies. They are making billions from each and every one of us. We need a backbone to do something about it.
@sbattrawden
They must have a real deep hatred of the elderly and vulnerable. Rooted deep into them. They clearly see no point in getting vaccinated to protect these groups if not for themselves. Strange that they have no one they hold dear in these at risk groups.
Cannot believe how many things have now become so expensive. Electricity, gas, petrol, oil, food. Is it Brexit, the war or just mismanagement by the tories. We really are heading for trouble.
I don’t know how I view Shamima Begum. It’s easy to say she’s a terrorist, get her locked up. However, should we not consider her a victim, as she was a child being groomed? Personally I don’t think she is now a risk to our safety.
@The_TUC
@AHarradence
Nurses are earning around £1500 less than they were 10 years ago in real inflationary figures. Although everything is drastically more expensive. Why on earth would anyone put themselves through the training for that.
@Archipet
@Cotswolds_D
The vaccination is no guarantee against becoming very sick. Statistically yes it reduces the chance, but it’s not full proof as this proves. That’s why I really don’t get people unmasking too early. Well not true really, I do blame Bojit and his naivety in assuming people think.
That’s it Rishi, you just listen to what Labour say and they will show you what to do. It’s not such a hard job is it. Try and do it a bit quicker next time though.
Just think of how bad Brexit could have been. We could have had a cost of living crisis, huge energy prices, high inflation, huge queues at Dover, fresh veg rotting in the fields, we may have even had that useless gimp, in as PM by now. Phew we have been lucky….
How can the PM escape a fine for being at a party that at least one other person was fined for being at?
I would love to know why the Met police feel that is acceptable?
What is the point of PMQ’s? Questions asked, then no answer given. Johnson waffling as usual. Would you continue talking to someone if they just waffled continuously. I would give up. Then the staged questions, what a waste of time. No wonder we are in bother.
I’m really shocked with the other members of the government who are backing someone as incompetent as our current PM. Does that make them as untrustworthy as him? It will be interesting watching them switch loyalty when he does finally go.
@TFpgbp
If people have a couple of cars and go on holiday, they think they are affluent.
They are not on the same page as these people, but with an illusion that they are, they vote above their financial station. It’s happened for years.
Is the Covid inquiry going to look into money that was given away by the government, to non PPE companies? There is an allegation of fraud here that must be investigated and answered.
We may see the government solution to the cost of living crisis being 5p off a litre of fuel. Not being funny, but I can get that off by going to the supermarket rather than my local petrol station. It will solve nothing. Out of touch.
I wonder if the announcement of the cost of living help, will coincide with the Sue Gray report being released? They do like a deflection. Just a thought.
@fascinatorfun
But hey ho at least the politicians can visit one of the amber countries for their fortnights holiday on the 22nd. By the time they come back, we can close up again.
Strange the change in rules of the amber list, just at this time?
@mikegalsworthy
It’s amazing how she feels the need to speak to him slowly and yet forcibly as if he’s a child, but I guess these people are like naughty school kids really. Say the first thing that comes into their head and hope it sticks.
When Farage and Rees Mogg were promoting the benefits of Brexit, they promised a return to the ‘good old days’. We definitely have got them now with the high interest rates, repossessions rising and strikes all over the place. Well done guys.!
How long before we can finally get these charlatans out of government. They do not represent me. It’s time we got rid and started rebuilding this country. It’s so clear that the current crew cannot deliver the rebuild. I really hope they go while we still have an NHS to save.
How long will it take Sunak to sack Raab? My money is on fairly quickly, as he was condemned for letting Zahawi survive for too long, after his unpaid tax fine. Give em long enough and there won’t be any left.
Isn’t it strange how some people blame Labour for the current poor state of the country, a general strike around the corner, food banks in every town, NHS on its knees, when the Conservatives have had power for 12 years.
If it goes through, we must look independently, with intense scrutiny, at the private companies involved with every step of the Rwanda process. This cannot be another money spinner, like PPE or T&T, using our hard earned tax funds.
@BladeoftheS
There is no taxpayer money to these clowns. It’s all their money to take and squander as they feel fit. If only it could be looked into carefully and methodically, with the power of the law in support, it would reveal so much theft and skulduggery.
@AndyGJBurge
@bbclaurak
@MichelleMone
I wonder if I would be justified in refusing to pay tax, as it’s now provable the government have squandered our hard earned cash. I’ll pay again when they get this money back off Mone et al. How about that.
With Rishi Sunak suggesting his aim is to cut NHS waiting lists, energy bills and the inflation rate in 2023, he must be about to stand down and call a General Election.
I’m looking for a real measurable benefit of Brexit. Please don’t include the financial gains of those in charge, that’s no benefit to me. Any sensible suggestions please?
We voted on Brexit based on lies. Now we know the truth, should we not be allowed to vote again or must we live with a decision made on fraudulent lies.
How are people meant to cope with bills going up by £3000 per year. If your working and disabled for example, you get £150 in and £400. Where does the rest come from? Especially when they are told not to ask for a pay rise due to inflation. It’s a puzzle.
So No 10 apparently had a garden party with 40+ guests during lockdown. I wonder how all those who could not see their families, some for the last time, will be feeling tonight?
@_emiliecousins
@LCWF_TBK
Lack of masks shocks me. Even if people blindly take the view that the vaccine lowers the chance of serious disease. Most people are aware that a double vaccinated 80 year old has the same chance of dying as an unvaccinated 50 year old. What about grandparents. Have they none???
So we can afford a £2500 pay rise for our politicians, but not for the thousands striking. These MP’s should do the right thing and refuse the increase. If not, hang their heads in shame.

have yesterday passed a file to the Serious Fraud Office on the passing of contracts to associates by the Tories. They won’t hold the power forever and at some stage, I am sure we will see some, face justice. That thought keeps me going.
