I can think of few things more unbiblical than wedding Christianity to a nation, flag or political party. Christians find their identity in Christ & the Church of the Lord Jesus. Christianity is a global reality & family rooted in the Great Commandments and the Great Commission.

The EC just voted 39-35 against waiving attorney/client privilege and rejecting the will of the Convention. This is beyond disappointing and potentially damaging to the trust essential to the SBC.

To bring clarity: women cannot serve as a pastor. Pastors are always men in the Bible. To call a women a pastor in any capacity is not faithful to the biblical revelation. She can serve in many capacities but it is theologically in error to call her a pastor.

The Bible is crystal clear there are many things women can do in the church. It is also clear that God reserves the office of pastor, elder & overseer to men. Scripture makes no distinction between Sr Pastor which applies only to men and other pastors which can be men or women.

I saw real liberalism firsthand @SEBTS in the early 90’s & @SBTS in the late 90’s. There is nothing remotely like those teachings in our seminaries today. Southern Baptist can be thankful they can trust their seminaries today. Keep us accountable. We want/need it. We serve you.

To compare the SBC today to the SBC before the Conservative Resurgence is simply inaccurate and untrue. Prior to 1979 only a handful of seminary professors would call themselves inerrantist. Today, EVERY professor proudly affirms inerrancy & the BF&M. It is a different day. PTL!

Everyone is entitled to their opinion but no one is entitled to misrepresent the facts. Lottie Moon, Annie Armstrong, and Bertha Smith did not advocate for women pastors. Neither did they feel sidelined or held back in getting the gospel to the nations.

3,969 language groups in the world still do not have a single verse of the Bible in their language. 1.5 billion do not have a Bible in the language they best understand. 1 in 5 people are still waiting for the Bible in their own language. We have work to do for King Jesus!

Years ago I told my black brother, friend & pastor E.K. Bailey I got a sick feeling when I saw blue lights in the rear view mirror knowing I would probably get another ticket. He told me he felt something different. He wondered "will I make it back home tonight?" I can only weep.

I am exceedingly grateful for @drmoore & the @ERLC for their consistent stand for life, the sanctity of biblical marriage & gender, & religious liberty & freedom. In these days of great spiritual opposition, the Church of the Lord Jesus must speak clearly & with conviction.

I for one am very grateful for the brave women coming out and speaking about sexual abuse. I am ashamed of men for acting like irresponsible animals. A real man with always treat a lady with respect!
