This morning I start the task of overseeing the petitions relating to the Parliamentary and local government elections as directed by the National Executive yesterday. In one case ineligible foreigners were allowed to vote in Zimbabwe.

Today we have written to the Human Rights Commission and the National Peace and Reconciliation Commission formally complaining about the gross human rights violations against the people. There is also serious abuse of state institutions.

We thank those countries who have offered to reconstruct the damaged infrastructure in Chimanimani. We kindly call upon other countries to follow suit. As Zimbabweans in our diversity we also must put our shoulders on the block and play our part in this.

Presenting the Secretary General's report to the National Executive Committee meeting at MRT Tsvangirai House in Harare today. This was one of our best meetings with really audacious resolutions on the way forward.
