A wholesome post on r/WeArePennState from a user named KMize44. The user also mentions how he was sold on the team based on how positive and supportive the Penn State fan base was despite the performance.

First of all he is being blocked by another defender already. Second of all, in this game he had 14 tackles (3 TFL), 2 sacks, 2 passes defended, 2 forced fumbles
I’m sick of hearing how bad Penn State is. Offense has been consistently scoring 30+ points per game. Defense has been incredible. Special teams has been figured out. No team is perfect but Penn State has consistently been one of the best teams in the country.
Guys Penn State just made the tourney and has now hired a coach who has taken his team to the tourney 3 out of the last 4 years. Like it or not the program is on the way up. Please buy tickets and go to more games this year.

Mike Rhoades is incredibly likable. He keeps turning around and telling the student section to get loud. Understands how important his home fans are. Win or lose Rhoades is building something bigger than one game or one season.
Larry Johnson may be the best running back Penn State has ever had. His senior year he had 2436 yards from scrimmage and 23 TDs. 2087 rushing yards in 2002 is 500 more than next closest in one season. He had 4 games with over 250 rushing yards in the same season 🤯
All I ask of Penn State tomorrow is that they win or lose on their own terms. Run the damn ball. If it doesn’t work then it doesn’t work. Drew should not throw for 42 times again. The best players need to get the ball. Win or lose play your own way.
🚨BREAKING: Florida transfer CB Jalen Kimber has flipped his committment from Louisville to Penn State.
Kimber is a former Top-125 recruit from the 2020 class. He started his career at Georgia.
Does nobody watch football? Penn State has brought Beau Pribula in every week to run QB draw. He fakes the draw. Nobody who watched film or watched one second of Penn State football this year thought he was faking a knee. Who brings in their backup QB to knee only?
Game Week! Let’s do this TOGETHER Nittany Nation. We need EVERYONE - students, faculty, lettermen, alumni, & fans worldwide - locked in on being 1-0 against Ohio State Saturday!

You are allowed to judge a coach based on their staff hires. Coach Franklin consistently hires some of the best assistants. Here is a thread of some of assistants and where they are now.
Takeaways from the first game of the Mike Rhoades Era (1/2)
Positives:
-Jameel Brown can really shoot from three
-Wahab seems to be a reliable center. Big change from last couple of years
-Kayne Clary is amazing
-Ace Baldwin is a polished passer
-Defense looks great
Just so we’re clear, Penn State F/C Qudus Wahab is number 3 in the country in rebounds per game. This goes with his 11 points per game. Penn State is lucky to have a big man who is averaging a double-double this year.
Beau’s work ethic is incredible. I can think of a moment this past season. During coach/player availability, several minutes after practice ended, Beau was sprinting up and down the field with nobody there. BP was challenging himself to get better, even if nobody was watching.
Penn State safeties this week:
Jaquan Brisker: 17 tackles, 2 passes defended
Ji’Ayir Brown: 6 tackles, 1 INT
The former Lackawanna and Penn State teammates are excelling in the NFL
Virginia Tech really said they didn't want Jordan Stout. He comes to Penn State, sets a school record FG, switches positions to punter, and does so well in his new role that he becomes a 4th round pick. Now he is one of the best punters in the NFL.
@JORDANSTOUT92
Penn State is averaging 4.2 yards per carry and 194.8 yards per game. I understand these are not all-encompassing stats but don't make it like Penn State can't run the ball at all. You can win games with a death by a thousand cuts.
There is no better time to win a big game than now. Drew was brought in to take down the best teams. He was disappointed in himself after the first big game. This is not David vs Goliath. This is Goliath vs Goliath. Whole season is still in front of us. 1-0
When was the last time Penn State had a new OC, DC, and STC in the same season? We have this in 2024. Tried to research this but don't think there's comprehensive data.
