Lockdown 3 hit me hard and with the world imploding during the week, it made me realise I needed a bit of help So I spoke to my doctor, got back on anti-depressants & booked counselling. We’re all having a tough year so don’t be afraid to ask for help if you need it ✌️

I’m seeing a lot of 1st year boys quitting school sports because ‘they need to focus on club soccer’ Parents & coaches: Your intention is to make your kid better at one sport by having them play ONLY that sport. You will actually make them worse at that one sport by doing this

Within the hour she was diagnosed with a mild concussion. As a retired player himself, the parent said he suffered from concussions when he was playing, taking a year and half to recover from the most recent one that forced him to retire

A very interesting study found that sarcomere lengths had significant differentiation throughout an entire muscle (Moo, et. al, 2016). This means that muscles might not lengthen or contract uniformly and are not the same length/orientation across the entire structure.

Incredibly disheartening to students, recent graduates and current coaches 5 or 6 years into their careers. You generally need to work like a horse for 6+ years before you can earn a wage, and we know that it’s unlikely to be a living wage.

Few tips for Sport students/ recent graduates: 1. Coach while you're in college, no matter what area you want to work in 2. Talk to as many people as you can! 3. It will take 5 years minimum to get a full-time job in elite sport, so don't set that in your sights just yet

Legit breaks my heart that women don’t get the chance to play u18, u19 and u20 international rugby because ‘there’s no talent’, but men are given the chance. Plus not a single female coach in the squads.

Lads it’s been 5 whole months since I’ve seen this lot! They’re taller, buffer and stronger but still as much craic 😍 We also had the legend that is @bananacaplice down to take them for an hours session, the girls were beyond star struck!
