A new public restroom was installed at the Fish Pier on Commercial Street last week! 🎉 Supply chain issues are causing a slight delay for the others. This week: Monument Way (at Free St); the Central Fire location (Pearl St, btwn Congress + Federal) install is late August.
Cumberland County is now listed as having substantial community transmission of COVID-19. City officials are recommending everyone wear masks when inside in public regardless of vaccination status, in accordance with CDC guidelines.

This week the Planning Board approved 107 new homes w/in an existing 10 story vacant office building @ 511 Congress St in Portland's walkable downtown. 27 affordable housing units are included as part of this approval.

Please know we're all doing our best during this new normal. Last Friday, the City Manager directed our Parking Division to no longer issue parking tickets unless for unsafe/illegal parking. Our message to the public at the time was parking enforcement is a low priority. (1/1)
