Three Canadian soldiers of the

, Private Atherton, Corporal Howarth, and Sergeant Musgrave, were laid to rest with military honours at CWGC Loos British Cemetery, France.

In May, we shared this before and after photo of the grave of Private John Lloyd, died 15 August 1943 aged 31 years old.
The private memorial was no longer suitably commemorating him. This was replaced by a CWGC headstone, which we will look after in perpetuity.
In May we marked 100 years since the King's pilgrimage where King George V undertook a personal pilgrimage to the newly established Commission cemeteries in France and Belgium.
Thousands would make the journey to the continent to pay their respects as they still do to this day.
More than a century after his death, Private Stevenson, a 34-year-old soldier from Suffolk, has finally been laid to rest with full military honours alongside an unknown soldier from his regiment and another unknown British soldier.

Our teams have recently installed a headstone for Private James Crump, who served with the Oxford and Bucks Light Infantry.
James died in December 1919 at 29 years old.
He had not previously been commemorated.
