No BS from HV3, just open and honest about what led to his decision. Much respect for being so straight forward when others have found that quite difficult.
Jon Rahm “I seriously hope they use some forward tees. From 14 on the shortest iron I hit into a green was 5 iron. I was playing with Zach Johnson yesterday and he was pulling the head cover off a fairway wood on every approach”
@Daniel_Rapaport
If you noticed Matt’s brother Alex, went past his brother first to greet his fellow Demon Deac Willy first, before celebrating the win. A lot of respect there between both sides.
@richeisen
Throwing in that 70 “had reported a couple times during the game”, which is irrelevant to the situation/play, makes it seem like he may have assumed that 70 was the eligible again and wasn’t really listening to 68
Jon Rahm:
Feb ‘22 pledges his “fealty” (so good) to PGAT
July ‘22 “never played for monetary reasons”
Aug ‘23 complains about lack of porta potties
Nov ‘23 bails on TGL
Nov ‘23 get $9M for third in PIP
Dec ‘23 reportedly to LIV for ~$500M & personal porta potty/hole*
The best feature of the pga app is when you don’t click off your favorites at the end of a tournament and they pop up to troll you the next time that guy plays
This is why people say the game is better when Spieth is a factor. He absolutely “gets it.” Very few are handling this scenario like he did and even fewer are coming back to follow through on it for those kids.
Last Aaron Wise tweet until he lifts the trophy on Sunday. Here’s his day today.

Talor Gooch had some visible issues with the pace of play of Kevin Na back at the Sony. He’s paired today with Horschel who has had his own pace issues with his methodical preshot routines. Patience will be key for Gooch today.
ESPN+ seems to be catching on to the cut sweat. They are randomly going to players finishing their rounds within a shot or two of the potential number. They went showed Hoge, then the finish for Frittelli and now Kokrak. Great to see.
If you ever wondered if Tiger is still the needle, just turn on golf channel. They have Rory McIlroy in the interview room and are split screening him with Tiger hitting balls on the range…
Pretty wild stat here. Cantlay, aka Patty Ice, will be looking to break par tomorrow for the first time in a final round since the Sentry in the first week of January.
Fully grasping at straws to continue the narrative against Bryson. It’s pretty pathetic at this point. Many players on both teams will be set to do something to promote their own brand after the Ryder Cup.
Binged szn 2 of Full Swing on a couple of flights the last few days. My winners and losers.
Ws
Rickie- shed a couple tears on the win, dude is just so likeable and easy to root for
Tom Kim - fun, tough, innocent star to be
Team Europe- so much more likeable and fun than USA
F- from CBS so far. Open with a buncha suilts in chairs, and like 5 shots hit in the opening 30 mins. Then they totally miss key players on the second, switching to random balls rolling on greens. Basically just another PGA Sunday from the TV guys
Lost one of my heroes today. Can’t express the sadness of how quickly life can change. Value your relationships and make it a point to be around those that you love. It can change rapidly. Also, F*** cancer.
Rory leading with Rahm on shot back. Final group tees off at 1240 and the “golf channel” starts coverage at 230…save me the nfl sunday stuff, the people that want to watch would and it’s on THE GOLF CHANNEL anyway
Is Azinger just trolling us? Consecutive groups he’s called Corey Conners a “wonderful putter” the on Morikawa “the way he putts he doesn’t have to go after this.” 105th and 172nd in putting this season.
There’s something perfect about the World Wide Technology Championship lacking the technology for anyone to know if Chris Kirk is actually 5-under thru 5.
🚨🚨🚨Break in the action is a good time to roll out a contest for the best Hideki lineup. Whoever incurs the most pain with his 0 in

swag. Give us a follow and submit your lineup to this thread on Sunday. 🚨🚨🚨
At this point let’s just fully embrace the Monday finish. Line it up as best as possible to get through 3 rounds by Sunday night, but don’t start around 4. Play a full Round 4 on Monday in appropriate pairings off the first tee.
I challenge you all today to make a phone call to someone you haven’t talked to in a while. I found out the other night I’ll never get to have another to talk with a close friend. You simply never know what someone is going through, take the time to reach out.
Here’s the bad news…we ruin the fun of a great course like PB with the Pro-Am and three course set up
The good news…It’s the last multi-course tournament of the season and things ramp up quickly from WM and Genesis into the Florida swing and The Players over the next 5 weeks
All the people whining ab how it’s wrong for NC State fans to rush the field are hilarious. Those kids have been pounding bourbon in the stands for the last 3.5 hours, witnessed a miraculous win over their rival to go to their first ACC title game. They don’t gaf that UNC is 6-5.
It’s onto the Byron Nelson for the KH Lee defense, but it’s an off week for me. I’ll be heading for my first trip to play Pebble, Spyglass, and a couple evenings on The Hay. Not a bad week ahead.
Someone will fill in across all the platforms, and I’ll be back for the PGA. GL!
It would’ve been really easy to meet in the middle. The Masters, 90ish players, some up & coming as well as all elites. We get some great stories, top tier winners, but also a surprising MC or two. Take that structure, add a base pay for MC & keep the integrity of the tournament.
Imagine running a tv network, looking for featured groups and saying no thanks to Bryson and Spieth. Like them or not, they’re the two most polarizing players on TOUR.
If you’re having trouble narrowing down a card this week, just ask yourself “can this guy handle the tee shots at 17 and 18 on Sunday with the lead?” That’ll cross off quite a few names.
Wandering minds… when golfers lose their focus, they can find themselves all over the golf course!
@bridgestonegolf
’s MINDSET can fix that.
