#FM23beta Mentality has been reworked and I mean its very different from previous editions of Football Manager, moving forward I hope SI call it what it is - Risk. On very defensive mentalities even AFs get behind the ball. There are such distinct differences now.

Remember FM16's Liquid system, it was a ripper. Well this is the version for FM23. Very liquid was the goal in terms of fluidity. It features a lot of fantastic off the ball running, the Mezzala/IF combination is also one of the best in the game. (thread)

I am now officially obsessed with generating crazy scorelines. So I went back to an oldie and updated it for FM23. The 343 diamond. Whats insane are the fixtures for the Europa Cup last 16, a total of 21 goals in two matches!! Thanks for being around for y'days insane stream.

What I found disconcerting on last nites @FootballManager stream was the "now generation". The one's who want everything "now". There is something called civility and courtesy, I just don't like how chickens turn into foxes sitting behind a keyboard. Plenty of good content

If you are using counter pressing or in transition instructions, it can be a good idea to remove counter pressing and opting to go regroup instead. You can do this if you notice the AI attacking you aggressively suddenly.

🔥Adapting to the Opposition on FM24🔥 Prior to every game the opposition report gives us enough information to understand how roles and duties combine allowing us to adapt. They also clue us in on how set pieces might be handled which I suggest confirming during the game.

To find out your critical positions find out what their interceptions/90 are, chances are there could be players in central midfield who are fulfilling that job. When they get tired they could start to waver. If the AI makes a substitution and brings on fresh legs.

I typically have more safer 4231's vs good sides, but when sides park the bus, I unleash this beast on them. It aims to control the half spaces and work the angles on the right. The only role that gets changed is the forward, AF, Poacher or CF #FM #WeAreTheCommunity

Its a good idea to find out which are your key positions on the pitch. Every formation will have one. This is a 433DM formation, where the DM plays a critical role, he protects the defenders allowing your wingbacks to launch attacks.

#FM19 guides coming & videos too. This is what you should see when you defend narrow. A congested centre as you encourage the opposition to go wide? Why would you? Cos you have giants who can head away ANYTHING :-) and a playmaker is waiting at the edge for a quick counter :-)
