Last year it was possible for it to work, but we needed to play it on higher mentalities. This year the BPD will surge up the pitch even on defensive mentalities, making this one of the most exciting roles to watch.

We can pull it off at all levels provided you find a player with first touch, balance, agility, dribbling and composure. Thanks @NicMadden3 and the match engine team. All he needs is a bit of dribble more magic as a PI. This is one of many gems on the #FM23beta match engine.

He doesn't only surge, the BPD because of his risky passes can also do deep diagonal switches of play to attacking wingbacks in 343DM systems. You just need to make sure those wingbacks are on attack.

The BPD can surge up with a double pivot or a single pivot. In other words you could be using a halfback and the BPD would surge up with the Dribble More PI. Beautiful!
