I am getting lots of Q's internationally about this decision by @karolinskainst to issue a press release for a preprint. I do not agree with it. We must fight #COVID19 with science and if we rush it too much we risk errors that could erode people's trust in science.

New unpublished results from KI and @KarolinskaUnsju shows that many with mild or asymptomatic #COVID19 show #tcell immunity to the new #coronavirus , even if they don’t have antibodies. This means #Immunity is probably higher than antibody tests suggest.

Jag håller inte heller med om att sjukdomen alltid är mild hos barn. >80 familjer med barn drabbade av livshotande MIS-C skulle troligen säga emot dig. Vi vaccinerar barn mot mässling för att undvika encefalit hos 1/10.000. MIS-C är lika allvarligt o ungefär lika frekvent

Oxford-AZ vaccine study in kids 6-17 years. I’d recommend repeated PCR-testing to see protection from infection and not only disease which is rare in children. Protection from infection will probably prevent #MISC and #LongCovid and reduce transmission

I understand the idea to some extent, but this may quickly become untenable as virus carrying this mutation is picked up in other countries. The UK has arguably the world’s best genomic surveillance of #SARSCoV2 . You would expect to find it there first even if it is many places.

This is an autopsy of 5yo child who died of MIS-C 1 month after infection. SARS-CoV-2 was found in multiple organs by electron microscopy, PCR, or staining. They also found aspergillosis and reactivated CMV, both attributed to immunosuppressive treatment.
