Once he actually focused on just Ryu it was light work. They even show that Yuta only extended the fight because Ryu "melted his heart" with his excitement

@HakarisupremaC 2 and 4 are wrong. Junpei gained a CT because of Mahito. We also don't know for sure that Yuji has a CT as it hasn't been confirmed but I'll assume his arms probably are one and not a tool. And he's been able to wield cursed energy for a long time. He was taught by Gojo
