I toured a floating offshore wind farm during the recent United @COP26 in Scotland. These wind mills are located 30 miles from land, so local residents can’t see or hear them. I will work to bring floating offshore wind to CA to fight climate change.

I presented House Resolution 12 today in the California Legislature to declare 2/19/2023, as a California Day of Remembrance. This is the day in 1942 that President Roosevelt signed EO 9066. This led to 120K Americans of Japanese ancestry being forced into incarceration.

Good news! My AB 39, which will help raise CA to the top 10 in per pupil spending, passed Sen. Appropriations. It proposes aspirational funding targets for CA's Local Control Funding Formula to establish a plan for increasing CA's K-12 funding by $35b over a number of years.

Yesterday was a beautiful day at Bruce's Beach in Manhattan Beach! The beachfront property that was wrongfully taken from Black owners Willa and Charles Bruce more than a hundred years ago was returned today to the Bruce family. A historic day to right a wrong.

I’m working on a bill to take this Redondo Beach homeless court model and replicate it statewide. Many homeless people need mental health and other support services, not jail time and fines. Kudos to those who make this happen in Redondo.
