What are the current challenges with permissionless LRT/LST? - Validators can steal MEV that is valued more than their bond: Puffer validators have 1 or 2 ETH bonds. If an operator gets a MEV block worth more than their bond, they are incentivized to steal it for a profit. 2/7

What did this solve? - Stakers are guaranteed consistent rewards that are independent of validator performance. - MEV-Stealing is not a thing anymore since NoOps will receive 100% of the rewards from validating, including MEV. - NoOps will lose money if they act lazy. 6/7

@gakonst The alignment debate will grow as the protocol gets more sophisticated. LRTs are fuel to this fire. Here's my first one: If all LRTs are back by the same giant LST, we are moving to 100% ETH staked and the LST as a point of centralization.

WTH just happened? - NoOp was given money (32 ETH) to run a validator and prepaid the expected rewards minus a fee to the staker. - Each VT is 1 day's worth of validator rewards and a 1 day permit for NoOps to run that validator. 5/7
