The public doesn’t know how restrictive immigration laws are. The public also doesn’t even know the basic effect of immigration: The legal immigrant share of the population. Public ignorance & bad policy are correlated.

Anti-surrogacy Twitter is ridiculous. Surrogacy is a mutually beneficial voluntary exchange that internalizes the costs and benefits to the parties involved. And there are enormous externalized benefits: more people.

End qualified immunity, stop giving police departments military equipment, legalize drugs, don't treat the peaceful protesters like criminals, and arrest real looters. All short term stuff, much of which will have long run consequences. What else am I missing?

Europeans aren't poor. They are illiquid. Much of Europe's wealth is stored in safe streets, nice parks, public transit, "free" healthcare, etc. which, it turns out, are too socially expensive for Americans to maintain. Americans take the money instead. The rest is only natural.

The video game industry made $43 billion in revenue last year. The workers responsible for that profit deserve to collectively bargain as part of a union. I'm glad to see unions like @IATSE and the broader @GameWorkers movement organizing such workers.
