Time is running out for the people of Gaza as Israel prepares to invade Rafah, ignoring repeated warnings from it's allies and the ICJ. The Government must act with urgency and impose an arms embargo on Israel to prevent the risk of genocide immediately.

I am horrified by the scenes coming out of Rafah. This unnecessary eacalation risks the lives of 1.5 million Gazans. The UK Govt must condemn Netanyahu's actions in the strongest possible terms and suspend arms sales immediately.

An offensive in Rafah must not go ahead - the people there have nowhere else to go. Kerem Shalom must be open for aid to get in. I repeat calls for an immediate ceasefire, the immediate release of hostages, and unimpeded aid to Gaza.
