I let both kids and my wife pick 1 horse each in the P5. Around the turn for home, my family was going crazy as I set back after seeing Mike Smith putting up unreal fractions and think to myself, they’re about to get an education in horse racing. Heartbreak in the household.

Belmont: Race 4: I’m hoping for 3 or 7 here. This might be a typical NYRA turf race where everyone wants to run a 25/50 opening. 3 has the speed but doesn’t finish well. I’ll be hoping he doesn’t need to run hard early and has enough to finish late at around 8-1.
