also the way that people who are doing COVID in “bored at home” style versus those of us who are “working our arses off at home like a blue arsed fly under difficult circumstances” act as if the latter group don’t exist
yes this is a nudge to people who consume lots of mainstream media during a time of client journalism to stop repeating media and state narratives without taking just a minute to think about them, especially to disabled people
@zaranosaur
A-f**king-MEN to this statement. I'm fed up of people telling me it's 'fine' because I won't get it. As if I have no reason to care about the whole world full of disabled people out there who might get it, even if I don't 😠
@zaranosaur
i have this permanently because our society dismisses us from the get go
sub poverty benefits (they deny us first, then again, repeat...so we give up)
accessibility (ableds needs first)
coordination of ADLs & care (on your own baby)

@earthnamek
My brother is disabled he just passed away. He didn’t die from COVID he died because doctors refused to see him because of COVID. Only teli health.He insisted his throat hurt. They Cancelled his in person Appt the day before he died. Cause of death was a blood clot in his neck
@zaranosaur
Tw: It might be the thing I remember about COVID the most. How our politicians and media have totally downplayed the enormous ocean of death. People actually buy it too. I had to stop listening to the news because I was contemplating suicide.
