Yonkers Public Library staff got certified in opioid overdose prevention using NARCAN from NYS Department of Health instructor Patrick Quinn. We hope no one will have to use what they learned, but over 15 staff members were trained to ensure library spaces are safer for everyone.

Make Music Yonkers 🎼🎶 is Tuesday, June 21. There are musical events all over the city, all day long, including at all YPL locations. Free givaways at the library sponsored concerts (while supplies last).
Last week some YPL staff donated backpacks and other school supplies for Mayor Spano's annual Backpack to School Drive. It's not too late to help out- you can drop off supplies at any library or police precinct until this Friday, 8/19! More info here:

**Closing Early**
All locations of the Yonkers Public Library will be closing today at 1pm due to the icy weather and travel conditions. We will open tomorrow at 12pm.
The Will Library's teen space got some new furniture. And while we love it all shiny and new, we absolutely prefer it "AT" with teens collaborating on projects, playing Uno, and competing against each other on the PS4.

We, Will Library, kicked off Summer Reading on Thursday, June 28, 2018. We had Casey Carle with his Bubble Mania act. Great show, at the end he puts a "kid" in a bubble. The auditorium was packed, the parking lot was full and the children's room was humming.
