Gay men must ALWAYS interrogate how they behave around women (all sexualities), speak about women, speak to women, view women etc. Misojoni is endemic among us! We are not as progressive as we think we are. If we view fem men with contempt, imagine how we really feel about women?

I’m always shocked by how people, mostly men, view pregnancy and childbirth. Pregnancy is a life threatening condition to women. Child birth involves, often than not, cutting the woman. It’s literally bloody. The socially expectation of secrecy around both is misogyny imo.

The weird and sad thing about this sex = sexuality chat is that it reduces queerness to the act of having sex. Queerness involves emotions, romance, softness, cheesiness, loving, laughing, supporting, affirming, gifting each other, consoling, comforting, celebrating together etc.
