Good trans news out of WA. The State Senate passed SSB 5028 which would allow, among other things, for anyone changing their name to match their gender identity/expression to have their petition sealed so their deadname will not be a public record. It passed 45-3! @ErinInTheMorn

It’s time to admit that Remote Work doesn’t work. WFH Friday is a 4 day work week. Full WFH is a 2 day work week. Every interaction has to be scheduled, which means a lot of information-sharing doesn’t happen. Remote is a great lifestyle, not a way to build a great company.

I did roughly 40 informational interviews in a period of about 2-3 months, I worked with two different career coaches (shout out to @JeanLeggett ), and did some industry volunteering, before finally landing a wildly unexpected opportunity to apply for the job I have now at Bungie.

Hard to articulate how demoralizing it is as a trans person that most of the cis voices I see talking about trans people are vehemently anti-trans. On balance it makes it feel like the range of cis people's feelings on trans folks fall between "ambivalence" and "want genocide."
