Just read the entire 2040 decision. It’s bad. Easily reversible. The judge concluded that it’s proper to assume “immediate” and “full” build out of Minneapolis. That’s whack. Also, based on the court’s logic, any new population creates impacts that would violate MERA.

Not sure that pointing out data is throwing them under the bus. But what exactly have MPD, the tribune editorial board, and other public figures been doing? They’ve been attacking Mary since her first day on the job. She’s just supposed to sit back and take it?

@bloisolson @_BrianOHara Moriarity threw MPD, the county board and others under the bus, all while saying she didn’t want to point fingers at anyone.

Our park board looked around Minneapolis and decided, no, there isn’t enough drama. Let’s create some more!

So it looks like a lot of local police departments helped with the investigation, but not Minneapolis police. Anyone know why that would be the case? Like, why was Eagan helping but not MPD?

Ward 8 voters should remember that Jenkins voted YES to allow the vacant BK at 34th and Nicollet to reopen. She met with a BK lobbyist, Jackie Cherryhomes, before the vote. Now I can finally vote for someone else to represent our ward. Can’t wait!

@alexschief @AlecMacGillis It’s surreal. I’ve lived in both environments. From my experience, you won’t find anyone who celebrates 115 degree days (or weeks) in Phoenix. They don’t exist. But here in the North, there are a lot of people who like the cold because of cold weather activities.

Will @MayorFrey kindly tell us where he stands on 24/7 bus lanes on Hennepin?

Minneapolis and Hennepin county have embraced this type of redesign, which is great to see. In the past, we’d just sneak in a bike lane in the road. What other US cities are doing better than us?

You can do a lot of cool things if you've got the courage to remove street parking.

There’s been racing on Nicollet almost every night even though the 5th precinct is right there. Perhaps we can get some barricades between 31st and 38th to keep this under control.

This tells me they want to make the closures permanent and expand it to other places

Franklin Ave initial concept released by Hennepin County. For the stretch of Franklin between Lyndale and Chicago Ave. It's a 3 lane design (with center turn) with parking removed to make space for: ➡️Sidewalk and bike path ➡️Boulevards with green space
