The core problem with defi right now is a lack of sustainable incentives to drive attractive yields to outpace tradfi / tbills- the old incentive models during up only markets don’t work in a 🐻. Solution isn’t RWA’s w/ custodial risk & regulatory risk, it’s @tapioca_dao DSO 🖤

Two things regarding Uniswap: 1. Fee- They’re so dominant, atp they could charge whatever they want. Power users don’t use Uni UI anyway, they use aggregators (Llama ftw), but the normies paid MetaMask’s absurd fees, and will also on Uni FE. I think they know the fee switch

We’re working diligently to replace it with PermitC by @limitbreak @mitche50 , which extends Uniswap’s Permit2 to be NFT compatible. Always great having stuff like this pop up a month before your release lol. However, thankfully we know now and not later when it’d matter.

I propose we drop TVL, and move to "PR" - Profitability Ratio The profitability ratio would be a protocol's net expenditures via token emissions, versus its fee generation. This would be a simple methodology for assessing the soundness of a protocol's business model. Thoughts?

So a little thread on impermanent loss- IL does not actually explain the phenomena encountered by liquidity providers on AMM’s. The correct terminology is LvR or “Loss- vs-Rebalancing” - let me explain 🧵

Finally someone said it. Any DEX selling you on “reduced impermanent loss” is just saying “Hey, we are a less efficient AMM” There is a direct correlation between IL and how deep liquidity each $ of TVL provides. It’s really that simple.
