😡 Four weeks ago I discovered I am still shared on a Google Drive folder of photos my abusive ex controls and is actively putting photos into. At the same time I learned there is **no way to remove your own access from a folder you have been given view-only access to**.

When I left my job, I thought I’d be out for a month, tops. “I wouldn’t know what to do with myself,” is what I told people. It’s been 3 months and I’ve finally started recovering from burnout and enjoying life again. Don’t underestimate how much rest you actually need!

Disagree. PRs are useful async collaboration tools, good for encapsulating a feature into a single referenceable point, and provides context for people outside the individual writing the code. In short, it helps your org scale. This sync “trust” model only works for small teams

I just gave a Security 101 for Seniors presentation to my mom and 10 of her best girl friends and they had such a great time learning! They’re in their 70s and get bombarded with messages about how everything is hacked and they wanted to be better informed about where to start

Lastly, compounded raises ARE REAL. Raised are PERCENTAGE based on your starting salary If you don’t negotiate, no matter how much you get after a year, it will still be less than what you could’ve gotten (and likely the dudes in your company already did get) /11

One nice thing about using a DLSR for a webcam is I can finally create a custom white balance profile for my skintone and not use the default that comes with most webcam software (which historically struggles with POC skin) Thread for advanced DSLR webcam settings for POCs!

Labor Day weekend is the anniversary of my last sexual assault. It’s been 7 years of PTSD and countless hours of therapy since then. But thanks to therapy, I’m thriving today! I still get panic attacks (had one last week - it’s still 2020 after all) but life’s pretty good now
