2022 was a good academic year. Papers and funding aside, the biggest joy comes from seeing 4 of the very talented postdocs I had the privilege to interact with, getting lectureships/fellowships in academia! Is of course their own merit but I still feel like a proud parent.
We have a new group logo thanks to
@MariaCrespo
(who refuses to get Twitter). Thank you for all the work and patience...I like the end result very much :) It has all the right elements
Late at night, past way too many drinks , feedback from colleagues, friends and Renatto 😀. An emotional fun evening in the best possible way! So grateful to everyone for their support

Very exciting for my upcoming plenary at
#Carbon2023
in Mexico! The fact is in Cancún makes it even more exciting culminating with a very exciting line up of speakers and talks! Come!
I enjoyed writing this News &Views. Pt-free carbons will become the future electrocatalysts in fuel cells in the next years! Carbon materials are yet very complex hence it is crucial to understand the role of dopants and defects... and this is not an easy task!
Thank you
@AMEXCarb
for inviting me to give the plenary talk
#Carbon2023
. Had a fantastic time at the conference and Mexico in general! What a wonderful country!
We have a postdoc position in our group funded by

Also is so rewarding to receive a
#VeryImportantPaper
label for work performed by amazing
@ImperialChemEng
final year 2019 undergraduate students Anastasia Teck and Shengming Zhang. You should be proud of yourselves (and probably on Twitter too😀) !
This nonsense of ranking best chemists in the world not only that has only ONE woman in the top 100 and very few overall but also gets your affiliation wrong and assumes "he" by defautl. How do we stop such nonsense ranking? How is this inspirational?
We welcome the new members of the group Manuella- visiting us from Brazil for one year, Emma-a new research associate we welcome back to Imperial and two new PhD students Nihat and Zeynep! Welcome all and I hope you will enjoy the new journey.
I had a blast in Berlin over the past few days! Amazing conference on Na ion🔋by Adelhelm

I would like to thank my group for a great early Christmas party and most likely my only one this year. We had great food, questionable singing skills, guitar playing, Servann dressed like a 🦃 and more or less a sustainable secret Santa!
Not a bad view to start the ISE 37 Topical Meeting on my favourite 3: batteries, fuel cells and H2. Loads of amazing speakers and mission impossible to see all given the parallel sessions but looking forward to (re)connect with everyone in gorgeous Stresa! Grateful to be invited
