A favourite memory was when a crazy person put SWANS, Lee Perry and The Bug/Flowdan on tour together in Greece. Lee Perry bravely walked up to Gira, and said to his face "Whats your problem ?". G responds "I have many". Lee says "Your problem is you dont like yourself". Wisdom.

Re-Shaka's legacy. I remember inviting Thomas Köner to a Shaka night, in the 90's. He came with Robert 'Monolake' Henke. Years later he said that the event had been so inspirational, it led to the formation of Porter Ricks, & therefore 'Biokinetics'. The beauty of inspiration !

Its funny, when Mark Hollis released his solo album, it didnt connect to me as much as the last two TT albums. Felt too dry, grand and at that time in my life, austere.. Listening to it today, it feels like the perfect farewell to Laughing Stock, Incredibly rich/deep. Beautiful.

Very sad to hear Mark Hollis has passed away. 'Laughing Stock'/ 'Spirit of Eden' were incredibly addictive albums, miraculously balancing Can, Miles Davis and a peculiarly british introversion. Permanently on my speakers. (Had always wanted to collab with Mark...)

Not sure how i ended up there, but somehow i just finished a track that sounds like 'Pressure' era Bug, Techno animal in dancefloor warfare mode and 23 skidoo. A raw dub thats entitled 'Beat a racist down', and will ft on a benefit 7" for @clubGRETCHEN via @hhvrecords 💥

Ah f-ck.. The satori like illumination, when you realise you have wasted a week of layering, sampling and adding unecessary elements, only to then check the song's demo and realise it hits the mark far more intensely. Back to the future...Note to self, keep it raw 🔨
