NATO strategy is clear it will use Ukraine's territory as long as possible to fight Russia. Ukraine only provides men, everything else is NATO. Weapons, money, intelligence. In this scenario Russia won't allow such entity to exist on it's borders.

NATO wanted Russia to attack Ukraine with mobilized troops after the winter, take casualties and then fresh NATO trained Ukrainian troops were supposed to take advantage against demoralized and exhausted Russian army. Putin didn't take the bait.

Kherson counteroffensive is worse than I've even imagined. Ukrainians managed to kill a small number of Russian infantry, some retreated then Russians began to pound the area with artillery strikes and Krasnopol laser-guided rounds, getting many direct hits.

Ukrainian soldier Alexey Gladyr born on 23.01.1996 celebrated his birthday yesterday in Russian captivity. He was captured in 2022. He was supposed to be finally returned home today during the prisoners of war exchange. He's now dead after Ukraine shot down Il-76 he was in.

In 8 years Ukraine didn't have a single anti-war protest. The war was far away. Only Donetsk and Lugansk regions were getting bombed. Overwhelming majority of Ukraine either didn't care or approved these actions, punishing separatist population that sides with Russia.

You can't create a whole new Ukrainian army and claim you aren't a party in the war. Ukraine lost it's weapons, ammunition and trained men. Everything is replaced by NATO. A defeat now is not a defeat of Ukraine because it was already defeated, it would be the defeat of NATO.

One of the myths from World War 2 is that Ukrainian nationalists ''fought the Russians''. Ukrainian nationalists which were overwhelmingly from Western Ukraine mostly killed Jewish and Polish civilians as well as partisans, most of which were anti-Nazi Germany Ukrainians.

Ukrainian counteroffensive started. For now small groups are sent on suicide missions to probe Russian defenses. Most of equipment will be lost and survivors will have to try to flee on foot. This is what Ukraine did in Kherson region.

After Prigozhin's short-lived mutiny Putin met with ''Wagner'' commanders and Prigozhin, 35 people were present. Putin offered them to continue working as before under the command of Andrei Troshev, the man that was in charge of ''Wagner'' operations in Ukraine.

Russia is taking out NATO equipment with artillery, helicopters and drones. When Ukraine eventually sends bigger tank columns in those agricultural fields full of mines Russia might drop a few modified FAB-500s. Could be a massacre for Leopards even PETA would have condemn.

Counteroffensive according to NATO is supposed to give Ukraine a stronger position at potential negotiations, some even claim it would force Putin to capitulate. And nobody mentions what would happen to Ukraine if the army is destroyed with all NATO equipment with no gains.

Ukraine gave Russia 8 months to prepare minefields and fortifications. In just 4 days Ukraine probably lost more equipment on those minefields than they did during the entire war because prior Russian soldiers barely bothered with mines.
