This was all in the plan. Get rid of Cummings, weaken the govt and then push for an extension. So predictable.

@stephenj_colvin @DerrickBerthel1 how do they overturn a majority of 80? I mean that had to be the first step of the plan because legislation needs changing to have an extension. So need to have enough influence in the cabinet to get it put forward and agreed and then ensure one of the biggest rebellions happens

@Shandy_al @DerrickBerthel1 Apparently 40+ MPs want Cummings to resign. More than enough to put the govt under pressure with its legislative programme. They could make all sorts of demands. However, I agree that not all of those MPs would be willing to stick their neck out.

This is all part of a planned campaign as we are getting close to the go/no-go for extending EU transition It'll get worse but, take heart, if an extension had already been sewn up behind the scenes we would not be getting this onslaught Just from Twitter:

@stephenj_colvin @BenedictMPWhite So Cummings dashing away to his country pile was all a plot to get the EU to agree to an extension was it?

@stephenj_colvin Only Boris can sign off an extension, not Dominic and not civil servants.

@stephenj_colvin @BrexitFoxy Itโ€™s not an intention they will draw or even suggest as a possibility. The great political minds that they are. Remember how they reported that the remain shenanigans were only due to taking โ€˜no deal off the tableโ€™. When it was an open secret what the real intent was.
