I believe you achieve great design
only by removing unnecessary elements.
This applies also to achieving
a great quality of life.
Remove anything
lacking positive impact.
Less noise, more value.
One rule I've learned:
It's better to be overconfident and learn you're wrong along the way
than to be doubtful and sound weak.
The world favors the bold.
Have faith in yourself, my friend.
You can’t enjoy life if you’re trapped
in the need to achieve something.
I've been there too.
You know how it can be exhausting.
That's why I created
@projectdolce
your gateway to embracing slow living
finding peace in stillness
and learning to savor life's little joys.
I believe joy transforms you from within.
It’s a cathartic power.
That’s why I’m launching
@projectdolce
.
In a world constantly hustling, Dolce invites you to embrace the art of Dolce far niente—where the simple act of being brings you true happiness.
How your product works (UX)
is far more important than how it looks (UI).
A great UI doesn't offer much without a solid UX.
But a great UX with a decent UI creates a practical and user-friendly product, leading to increased user adoption and business growth.
Life is all about perspective.
Whenever you feel down because of a hardship, do your best to keep your composure and ask yourself: "How can I use the difficulty to my advantage?"
My grandfather always reminded me of this.
Hardships are blessings in disguise.
If you're a designer at an early-stage startup, listen up:
In the startup game, speed is key.
Your main goal is to build impactful features fast
to get new clients and seize market share.
There is no time for pixel perfection.
Focus on impact and value over minor details.
The more your design improves, the more you delete.
I’ve probably deleted around a whole SaaS worth of material I designed but never published.
Elegance requires a lot of sacrifice. Dead designs and even entire projects are the price paid so that what remains can shine.
Unconventional take:
Quality sleep is the key to success.
Without 7-9 hours of rest, you're just a walking zombie
regardless of how successful you may be.
If there's something that you should never do in life.
It'd be to never let doubt steal your personality.
The minute you doubt yourself,
others will doubt you as well.
So be confident in everything you do.
Believe you can do it.
You can get it done.
You'll find a way.
A great design happens
when you don't even notice the UI.
You enter a flow state and you become
completely immersed in using the product
to get your tasks done.
“Everything around that you call life was made up by people no smarter than you. And you can change it, influence it, and build your own things that other people can use.”
— Steve Jobs
Many Wearable AI companies seem just hyped up to launch new products without conducting basic research, leaving users with little real value.
Result? Most are practically useless.
This is how Steve Jobs
transformed
@Apple
campaigns.
He went from 9 NYT pages
to 2 billboard words: "Think different."
So remember that
less is always more.
Less noise.
More simplicity.
Greater value.
Happy to finally share what
@valeriekraemer
and I have been working on.
We believe the age of apps has reached its peak.
The future of computing will be about intelligently connecting all the things in your life.
This is what we’re working towards.

Knowledge grows better
from subtraction than addition.
The same applies to design.
That means your design becomes robust
when you subtract unnecessary elements.
Want to boost your impact as a designer?
Then keep these 2 questions in your mind:
1. How your work is delivering value for your users.
2. How it contributes to your company’s growth.

Not sure if junior designers can settle for such a sophisticated portfolio.
One must be a master and have great taste to believe in such a pure and minimalist way of showcasing work.
Seems like Twitter enjoys blocking my account for no valid reason, saying each time that it finds some suspicious activity.
Anyone else dealing with this?
Or any ideas on how to fix it?
The biggest lie you keep telling yourself
and which's stopping you from progress:
“I don't have time for it.”
Either it's your priority, or not.
As simple as that.
Be honest with yourself.
Do you truly want it?
If yes, believe me, you'll make it happen.
No excuses.

Takeaways?
• Keep it simple
• Get straight to the point
• Remove any unessential parts
This applies almost to everything - be it crafting a product, a brand, or even just a text message.
The quality of your craft depends
on the quality of the connections you make.
How do you achieve quality connections?
Pursue your passions.
Meet new people.
Learn about new ideas.
In short, be a lifelong learner.
