In case you’re wondering…
the hospital corridors & out-patient areas were empty during the pandemic because…
there were no visitors allowed, no face to face clinic appointments allowed and many admin staff worked from home if they could.

The first two weeks of COVID I used the underground to get to work but it was packed full of builder still working on sites. It was unsafe so I switched to my car. Driving was literally like this.

Don't spoil their delusions with facts; they have anti-fact filters permanently on; they are lost to a modern civilisation.
We just have to make sure that despite the dysfunctional government, we strive for a civilisation in which the
#NHS
can thrive.

@shinybluedress
In September 2020 after waiting for more than 2 decades my laparoscopic hysterectomy was finally carried out in another health authority some 14miles away it was the most surreal moment of my life as my fiance took yet no visiting still affect's me now.
@shinybluedress
Possibly the only good thing to come out of Covid was we stopped putting 14 patients in the A&E corridor.
To their credit management stuck with it, unlike some other hospitals. But interestingly, we haven’t had 14 ambulances waiting to unload, yet……..
@shinybluedress
Shame these deniers can’t do thinking before they jump on the bandwagon, they don’t appreciate the fact many outpatients clinics reduced appointments to prevent crowded areas or cancelled some clinics as staff had been deployed to ward areas so a lot less ppl in corridors 🤷🏼♀️
@shinybluedress
People just don't get how it worked at all. For blood tests we had to attend a clinic away from main building, given a time and had to wait in the car until called in, masked, temp checked, hand washed, then bloods taken saw no one else phone appts. for consults
@shinybluedress
I have to have an infusion every 8 weeks, even during Covid. Never saw a single car on the 45 min car ride to the hospital and no one in the long corridors. It was eery, like an end of the world film :(
@shinybluedress
And nursing staff were moved to open wards caring for COVID patients. People didn't just walk in to A&E either because they were afraid to.
