casting comfrey actually made me lose a little respect for the casting director n showrunners ngl like you can’t google before you hire someone? or at least hire someone with talent?
tashi’s love for tennis is so moving and this monologue feels so natural, like an outpouring of her soul but weaved into such an on the surface throwaway situation. tashi was a romantic, a girl who found the love of her life so early. the tragedy of her career rests on this scene
the score makes its feel like a dream or a scene from some mythological tale, tashi staring out into the sea like she can see right into its depths, the boys staring at her like she could turn to mist at any moment… it’s all so gentle. even when tashi says you’re not a tennis
the cut to art when she says it’s like being love. the cut to patrick when she says or like we didn’t exist. for patrick to lose his ego AND find acceptance through love, for art to find an ultimate passion AND give service through love. it’s all they’re chasing and tashi has it
i actually hate you fucking silent cunts. maybe have a thought in your head for once and raise your fucking hand to share it IN A DISCUSSION BASED CLASS and other ppl wouldn’t have to pick up your slack
player to patrick she isn’t being malicious. it’s fact. it’s kindness i think. like when you tell a kid not to put a random object in their mouth. “you’re not a tennis player” i am. she doesn’t need to gloat, people truly in love don’t need to shove in ppls faces. it’s just Truth
she’s not a “sexual being”… that’s a stranger you’re talking about that’s a woman that you Don’t know 😭 besides that if u come out if challengers thinking there was no chemistry btwn her and her leads that’s genuinely a you problem
this is so much worse than annoying because kirsten has been largely snubbed and ignored by her entire field from the beginning of her career and on the night of her FIRST nomination this is the joke schumer wanted to make
More awkward moments at the Oscars: Amy Schumer, with one of the most unfunny jokes of all time, moved Kirsten Dunst out of her seat, calling her a "seat filler," prompting husband Jesse Plemons to say "you know that was my wife?"
@coopercooperco
no it really felt frustrating!! felt so weird i had to write about how the whole emotional core was kinda pushed aside in service of it being a movie length mattel ad
this actually pissed me off so bad if you’ve ever been in a discussion class/seminar where no one fucking talks its HELL! it’s not other ppl’s fault that your head only contains tumbleweeds and you feel no need to ever make a point about anything
Okay Stranger Things using "Running Up That Hill" has me thinking. What's the best use of music in film or TV? And why is it "Hide and Seek" by Imogen Heap in The OC?
that interview with the vampire show is probably great but the vitriol they have for the movie (which i have a lot of issues btw) and in particular cruise's lestat puts me off it so much lmao
Y’all sit on Rihanna’s internet & talk about my good sis
@lenadunham
like she didn’t set the trend for a full decade of television & body every imitator that came after her by writing 3 of top 20 best tv eps this decade.
She’s human & made mistakes, but the pen is undeniable.
oooh you’re such a big girl oh you didn’t cry at the movie that a lot of ppl liked ooooh you’re so smart and oh my god oh my god the thought of u sitting in the theater stonefaced is making me cum oh my GOOODDDD oh oh oh wow golly gee good lord wow that was amazing
