I look at myself and find a set of limbs in the usual configuration; internal organs which appear to be functioning properly and an adequate brain.
Nope: no apparent dysmorphia here.
@Patrick_Coffin
Friend, I cannot agree. I’m as robust a Catholic as any, but I’ve found too much to admire in the LDS Church and the Book of Mormon to dismiss them out of hand.

Mr Lobjn perhaps should talk it over with our Vietnamese coreligionists, who are firmly persuaded Jesus and His mother were Asian. Meet Our Lady of Lavang -

Your reply is a good example. Asexuals like me live in a world that entirely validates people (such as yourself) who feel sexual attraction. By contrast, we are viewed as oddities or unwell and our relationships are downgraded as ‘less than’. This is what we want to change.
@4LinesInTime
@KosSamaras
Saying “parliament will decide later” to a working-class voter who asks “what powers will the Voice have?” sounds like fobbing them off.
Worse, it’s saying “just trust us” to people who regularly get cheated and ripped off.
I can’t imagine a more foolhardy strategy.
@kitholburn
@theyasminbenoit
I’m long past the point where anyone would want to see me semi-naked (this happens when you’re on the bad side of 40). Not sure I see the relevance though.
@kitholburn
@theyasminbenoit
Perhaps, but I’m neither of them. Put simply, I have the usual physique of a man in early middle age with a sedentary job.
This self-awareness, I suggest, is evidence of an absence of dysmorphia.
@GeromanAT
Hey, what happened to that huge hezbollah assault you were touting last night?
It went the same way as the colossal avdiivka breakthrough the other day, I take it?
Down the memory hole.
@CatholicAmina
St Bernard of Clairvaux, you drew thousands like Amina to the cloister. We ask you to pray for her, whose desire to follow our Lord is a model for the rest of us. Pray that her family will know that her love for Christ does not mean she loves them less. Amen ✝️
@RebeccaJones_03
@_CryMiaRiver
Dubious. Organisations like the Tavistock NHS Trust infamously did not maintain records of how patients fared post-transition. Evidence of benefit doesn’t get much beyond anecdote.
@redpilledhomo
Genuinely not mocking, but it’s hard not to recall that in the Greek legends, when the Gods truly wish to destroy someone, they give him what he most desires.
@DefenceU
During the Winter War I think the Finns had a joke -
“Our country is small, and there are so many Russians. Where are we going to bury them all?”
@PeterBotsman
It’s an economic basket case. The police force is politicised. The health system is broken. Roads are steadily disintegrating. Public funding has been poured into unnecessary white-elephant public works.
Victoria under Andrews is East Germany without the technical competence.

Not what I asked. Peace now allows Russia to retain the territories it has illegally occupied.
Again, it rewards bad behaviour.

And yet the parent company hasn’t backed their executives and has sent anyone involved on indefinite leave. Also why their social media has been silent for a month.

Bless you very much Amina! Can I tell you that I was on the verge of doing something bad when I saw your tweet, and reached for a rosary instead. Thank you!

I was genuinely surprised to learn Sports Illustrated is still being published. I had a vague idea they went broke in the early 2000s.

Isn’t it? There’s really none that aren’t an attempt to paint love itself. Our Lady of Africa is another I like very much

Emphatically agree. The Yes campaign would have passed muster in an Arts faculty common room but would have been gibberish in a warehouse or in a building site.

This “gift” is made by poor women to rich people, but never by rich women to poor people?
There’s something revealing about that, wouldn’t you say?

Asexual here. You’re quite correct. Barring rare exceptions, the worst thing we face is being a punchline. Compared with what’s happened to our homosexual friends that’s very small potatoes.

True. Of course, Scotland is now regarded as the knife-crime capital of Europe, so I'd suggest weapons themselves weren't the problem.
@KosSamaras
Former compo lawyer here. If anything silicosis is harder to forgive than asbestosis. Asbestosis was known to be dangerous from about the 1890s, but “miner’s lung” was known in Roman times. Ignoring the risks was unforgivable.
@JBFittz
@KosSamaras
Oh for heaven’s sake. This is anecdata at best. The polls for three months have shown the Voice cratering. The Yes campaign blithely continued as if the polls still showed them in a winning position. Why did they ignore the warning bells?
@MichMisiewicz
@yanisvaroufakis
Hold on there. LGBs are defined by a sexual orientation. T’s are defined by gender identity. I’s are defined by a medical condition and A’s by a non-pathological absence of a sexuality. What conceivable commonality of interest do we have?
@FrHilderbrand
I heard a priest give a homily where he recalled being on a plane that was flying through a storm. One of the flight attendants asked him if he could “do something Catholic”. He said he agreed and duly took up a collection!

Not being a US citizen I couldn’t say. In any case, how do crimes committed by Americans against Iraqis justify Russian crimes against Ukrainians.
Get lost vatnik. Try not to think since you’re clearly not very good at it.

Insisting on supervised visitation as part of the divorce arrangements. Yes, I was going through a bad time and might have done something stupid to myself, but it stings that she didn’t know I’d rather have died a hundred times than ever hurt my daughters.
@yodaberg
Not sure I agree. Absent any particular rule in ACT law, they’re evidence relating to the allegations. If she’s told the counsellor one thing and says another in the witness box the jury needs to know.
Any chance of a RT,

It’s an odd thing but … it’s only in the last few years I’ve come to understand my own asexuality. But, the women I’ve worked with or been friends with kind of seemed to know I was safe to be around late at the office or in a car etc. They just seem to have known before I did.
@JoyfulAllison

They don’t exist. Russia could, if it wished, refer the matter to the ICC. It could lead evidence of this in the case against Russia in the ICJ.
It has chosen to do neither.
What does that tell you, Sergei?
@TheresaZoe
Maybe it’s because I grew up around cattle, but I can’t fathom why people think breastfeeding is immodest, or indeed even interesting to watch. It’s about as erotic as watching someone scratch their ear.
@Viangbua1983

@DiversityRM
Put it this way: if I’d known about asexuality by the age of (say) 17, I’d probably have made much better relationship choices, I’d have felt less out of step with the world for much of my life, and perhaps even made different career decisions. I’d have understood myself better.
@aussiecamel9745
I’m afraid there’s only one piece of detail which is sufficient: the bill which PM Albanese says this referendum will empower him to pass. Without that, I cannot make a reasonable evaluation of the proposed voice and therefore must vote no.
@LindaBurneyMP
If (4) is true, Minister, then the amendment is defective. It allows the Voice to be given functions beyond advice as well as actual powers.
@blakandblack
Unfortunately, the government’s detail-free approach in framing the referendum meant it was impossible to find out the things I wanted to know. This meant the rational decision was to vote no.
@MCITLFrAphorism
@BVMConsolatrix
I genuinely respect Fr Martin for his energy and devotion, but on this I think he has gone wide of the mark. Ultimately, for all people (straight, gay or Callithumpian) the first and greatest of all sins is pride.
