Results and rankings for all Scottish senior, reserve, U20, Saturday & Sunday amateur, welfare and women's clubs. Men's and women's University football too.
New leader in the amateur rankings for the first time in a good while -
@CastlemilkObc
after their splendid 5-1 win at Gartcosh United tonight - still waiting on Campsie Minerva v Saint Patrick's FP, but for now, the Castlemilk team is top.
And.... we're back!
All yesterday's amateur scores and updated rankings now on the website - one result missing - Internazioswally v Hibernifan in the IFA League (was the match even played?).
No luck in retrieving lost laptop - whoever took it will probably format it and sell it now - hopefully the drugs/beer they buy with the proceeds make them ill. Unable to work at moment until new one comes - going to be tough to rebuild website from here - but will give it a go.
After some thought, I've decided to stick with "just" senior + Saturday amateur results for this season. With results for 900+ clubs, I'm already struggling, so adding more work would surely affect the rest of the site negatively.
Just wondering if anyone would be interested in sponsoring the website results service or rankings? I give up a lot of my free time to do this, and a little incentive would go a long way!
Good news folks!
After considerable work by myself over the weekend, I've reversed my original decision, and the Sunday amateur and welfare sections will be returning later this evening.
A big thank you to all the leagues who get their scores up on the day, and to those who try with volunteer staff, and to all the individuals who help with my requests for scores. Without you, I wouldn't be able to do what I do.
We play
@Westside_AFC
on Sunday in the 3rd round of the East of Scotland cup. Got a doing from them last season so know weโll need to be at our best to progress!
Weather is due to improve so hoping it goes ahead this week ๐ฅถ

No disrespect to the senior non-league teams, but surely playing for an amateur team representing a community is better than playing in an U20 league that not many people are interested in.

There were challenges - and the amateur ranking needed a different approach, but I think you'll find that the Top 20 teams on the ranking are top teams, in anyone's books. National/regional cup competition results over 5 seasons were used to give starting strengths for leagues.
Biggest shock of the day, along with East End Villa's win over Castlemilk OBC. Due to the massive victory margin as well, Gleniffer Thistle picked up the most ranking points today (59) and moved up to 184. Johnstone had been in the Top 70 before today's match.

Aye - you've got just over 100 Under-20 teams that didn't exist just 4 or 5 years ago - all with a squad of 18-20 players - that's around 2000 players who would have been playing amateur. You take 2000 players out of the amateur game, and you're going to lose clubs.
All today's and yesterday's amateur scores:
Castlemilk OBC well and truly on top of the rankings now after their 2-0 win over St. Patrick's FP in the Cinema Cup final last night.
Seemingly blocked by Perthshire AFA for simply posting results on their Facebook page. Fuck sake. Anyway, they seem to be back on track with posting results now on their website. But fuck sake anyway.

@Fisherr94
There's a ranking of leagues as well on the site, showing clearly the difference in standard you talk about between all the leagues.
Perthshire Amateur website not currently being updated due to lack of a committee:
Never fear - here are the current league tables, with a list of matches still to play:
Tonight's amateur results - congrats to Crosshouse Waverley, Braehead, Blackburn United Amateurs & Loganlea United for their cup final wins, and Cupar Hearts and Johnstone Burgh Amateurs for their cup semi-final wins.
All results now in for the week for the seniors, amateurs, Sunday amateurs, welfare, university, women's senior and women's university - thanks to all who helped as usual! Woohoo!
All today's amateur results - missing Aberdeenshire and Kingdom of Fife as usual, as for some reason they can't get their results out before midnight, or sometimes not until Sunday.
All today's Sunday amateur scores:
Missing just the 1 - Motherwell Villa v Bellsquarry in the Football Central Winter League.
Westside pull further ahead at the top of the rankings, with Maryhill Milan up to 3rd.
Over the next few days, I will be attempting to implement a new feature on the site where you can check the results of each association rather than having to scroll through to see your league's results. ๐๐
Response from a club's Facebook account when I asked if they'd played today, as the league website hadn't been updated.
"You seem to be in the know, so work it out yourself weirdo"
People, eh?๐ค
Amateur club rankings - Saint Patrick's FP's lead at the top is now just 7 points after yesterday's 2-1 defeat to Greenock HSFP, who move up 2 places to 8th.
@HNM_WClark
@ScottishCup
No - it's a sign that the Scottish pyramid system doesn't let enough teams through, and many teams in Tier 5 and 6 are better than those in League 2. Elgin were above Jeanfield in terms of league level, but not in ability (Jeanfield above Elgin in my club rankings, for example)
Plenty of action in the West and East of Scotland amateur cups today - all the results will be up on the website soon. Shock of the day has to be East End Villa's penalty win over Castlemilk Old Boys Club.

Start with 1000 in bank
Buy cow at 900: 100 in bank
Sell for 1200: 1300 in bank
Buy for 1300: 0 in bank
Sell for 1600: 1600 in bank
So, you made 600 profit (end bank balance minus start bank balance - 1600-1000)
The new feature to check results by association has now been implemented for the Saturday and Sunday amateurs and welfare results. The women's section now also has a competitions database, bringing it in line with the men's senior section.

@Fisherr94
Just to say it does take into account standard of leagues - that's why, for example, the top teams in Perthshire are down in the 80s and 90s, and not at the top, and it's why the SPAFA and Caledonian and Ayrshire leagues all have several teams in the top 20.
All today's amateur scores:
Missing 2 results:
(IFA) Queen's Park Supporters v Fir Park Corner
(SMAFA) Blantyre Soccer Academy v Port Glasgow Boys Club
And rankings:
Saint Patrick's FP's lead at the top of the Saturday amateur rankings is cut dramatically after their 3-0 defeat to Greenock HSFP tonight, as their conquerors move into the Top 10.
Today's Sunday amateur scores and updated rankings:
Missing the 2 Scottish Unity League results + Bullwood v Falkirk in the Football Central Sunday.
Westside's 7-1 thrashing of 3rd place Meadowbank Wed extends lead in rankings
It was good while it lasted for Castlemilk OBC - but Saint Patrick's FP have just beaten Campsie Minerva 4-0 away, and retake the lead in the amateur rankings, by just a single point!
All the amateur, welfare and senior fixtures for Monday-Friday are now on the website (with the exception of Inverness Divisions 1 and 2, as they seem to post fixtures on the day of the games only).
.
@ScotAmFA
Hello - Drumpellier Dynamo 6-0 Southside Spartans in the West of Scotland Sunday Cup - it's down as a 6-0 win to the wrong team on the website. Please can you fix? Your website should be the definitive place to look for amateur results, but quite a few errors.
All the Sunday amateur scores and rankings are now up. Edinburgh Caledonian up to 2nd after their impressive win over Meadowbank Wednesday, who drop to 4th. Pather up to 3rd after their win over Maryhill Milan.
On Scottish Amateur Cup/District Cup weekends, your team's ranking may change unexpectedly - this is due to the inter-league strength being recalculated. You may gain points, but drop in the ranking due to your league's strength being recalculated.
@EFPhotos_1903
Cheers - not sure how BUCS website works, seems to be someone from one of the teams has to log in and enter the result on the website, but if they can't/or forget, then don't know if match was on or not...
1 welfare result tonight in the Greenock & District League:
Blackthorn Rovers 7-1 Inverclyde Caley Thistle
Blackthorn leapfrog their opponents in the rankings, moving up 6 places to 47, with Inverclyde dropping 6 to 48.
Today's amateur scores:
Missing 2 (Livingston GS v Jags for Good in IFA League, and Hope Community Church Barlanark v Dennistoun Thistle in Strathclyde Churches League).
Updated rankings:
No updates for a while - laptop lost while taking daughter to dance class... ๐ตโ๐ซ. I don't have enough faith in humanity to believe someone will hand it in.
Today's Sunday amateur scores:
Waiting on Airdrie/Coatbridge, Glasgow Community, Scottish Unity results, and a few from Glasgow & District Sunday.
Updated rankings (minus the missing results) - LEAFA clubs now make up the Top 3:
@IrvingAnalysis
@MozzaPlays
The 'problem' with Sunday is they aren't connected to the pyramid, so kind of a closed shop in terms of progressing further. Theoretically, Saturday amateurs could (and do) join the pyramid (as the senior pyramid is largely a Saturday setup, not a Sunday setup).
@Reecej270
@ImRaskinYou
The West Lothian Sunday league went bust a few years ago, so WL/Falkirk teams have to either stop playing, or choose to go west (Airdrie/Coatbridge) or east (Lothian/Edinburgh). A few Falkirk teams are in Football Central (Falkirk Amateurs, Carron Thistle)
@SouthCupSAFA
Hi, do you have any idea why the results of the SoS Amateur Cup are not listed on the SAFA website any more? All the other national and district cup results are listed (apart from the Highland Amateur Cup).
All Sunday amateur and welfare results now on site, and rankings updated. Men's and women's university results now also included on site for the first time, along with university rankings.
