Yellowjackets is the MOST Canadian show (I like it a lot). Its depiction of 'New Jersey' and 'New Hampshire' are paper thin, you can feel the Tim Hortonses just outside the frame. ENORMOUS lift done by the offscreen voice explaining they have to fly over Ontario due to weather

I just led my first creative-nature-writing exercise in a digital platform with tech-people from around the world. We wrote about moss, whale love and loss, the heron's view. It was personal and intimate and lovely. Maybe this is (part of) the future?

We writers (poets especially) love the word "elk." We can't get enough. Why? It is the most vivid earthly image you can pack into three letters. Runners-up include "emu" (vivid, ungainly) or "gar" / "auk" (obscure) but "elk"... simply crushes, it dominates the court.
