My attending asked what specialty I chose. I said surgery. They then said that they could tell. At first, I was excited to hear this. Until they insinuated that surgeons were less intelligent than other doctors and bad at managing patients outside the OR. Well… that sucked.

@rbueling A big plus of going into medicine for me is the scrub wearing... and knowing myself I'll likely wear scrubs often when possible due to the comfort factor (clean ones of course). I think we should let people wear what they please without judgement 🙂

I totally worded this tweet wrong, I realize I am a young medical student I more meant that in Utah the age of marriage is SO YOUNG that while I'm in school those around me are surpassing me in those areas of life and its difficult due to the social and societal pressures!

@rbueling also the airport calls for comfy clothes so I don't see much of a difference between sweats, yoga pants, and scrubs. all get a point for comfort factor, plus planes are gross and scrubs are meant to get dirty.. & people in medicine tend to have a lot of scrubs so why not 😂
