A man whom I never heard saying a negative word about anyone, obliging to a fault, a smile for everyone, a great Rathmore man, a great Kerryman and most of all a great family man.
While footballs are kicked in Rathbeg you will never be forgotten.
Slàn mo chara.

The flags fly at half mast in Rathbeg this week to mourn the passing of Tony Moynihan, our Vice Chairman. A true Club legend - player, quiz maestro, officer, groundsman supreme and Strictly dancer! One of our greatest ever.
Slàn Tony.
It is with great sadness we mourn the passing of Tony Moyinhan tonight.
Nobody worked harder in Rathbeg than Tony and he was respected in the club and throughout the county.
May he rest in peace.
Best wishes to Declan O’Keeffe who will be celebrating the 1997 jubilee this Sunday during the Kerry vs Galway All-Ireland Final in Croke Park to mark 25 years since his All-Ireland victory with Kerry. 🟢🟡
This week we said farewell to Tony Moynihan, our Vice Chairman. All in Rathmore GAA Club offer our sincerest sympathies to Marie, Tadhg & Donal. A great family man and clubman, in the following tweets we will remember the impact he made….

The recent passing of David Saunders left a huge void in many people’s lives. The GAA’s loss was Amputee Soccer’s gain. An inspiring player, a brilliant speaker & a great family man, Rathmore GAA extends its sympathies to his family and teammates. RIP David.
Best wishes Paul Murphy (Captain) & Shane Ryan the kerry team & management when they take on Tyrone in the opening game of the National League in Killarney on Sunday 2pm 👍💚💛

All in Rathmore GAA Club are shocked and saddened on the news of the sudden death of our former Senior Team manager Liam Kearns. Liam spent 2 years with us in 2012-13, and played a huge role in the development of what was a very young team. Our sincere condolences to his family.
John Joe Nagle whose funeral took place today in Dublin was a brilliant, stylish, versatile, two footed player for Rathmore. He emerged as part of a superb group of young footballers in the 70’s. He was a member of the 1st School team in the Secondary School

The late Michael Dilworth played hurling with Rathmore at full-back for a few years in the late 80s / early 90s. He is in the back row in both of these pics from 1990 & 91. An absolute gentleman on and off the field. Our thoughts are with his family. RIP Michael.

We start tonight with another Club legend. One of the most selfless volunteers we’ve had, as happy doing the unglamorous jobs as being at the top table. The good of the Club was always the priority for this man. John O Leary.
The very best of luck to the Kerry Senior Football Team against Tyrone in the 2021 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Semi-Final tomorrow. Especially to our own captain Paul Murphy and Shane Ryan

For those traveling to Croke Park this weekend
1. give yourself extra time due to roadworks.
2. Remember that’s clocks go FORWARD Sunday and factor that into your travel plans.
3. Whatever else, DON’T forget Mother’s Day!
👌 "It was like a Ronan O'Gara moment, where he said he had to prepare himself to want the most pressurised situation in the match."

Huge congratulations to our hurlers who in their first year back have qualified for a junior championship final which will be held next weekend ... Interestingly this is almost exactly 35 years since Rathmore won their first junior hurling Junior Championship

So today, as 2 Clubs, 1 in the Kingdom & 1 in the Capital, think of and reflect on the impact of John Nagle, we send our deepest condolences to his family in Dublin and in Gortdarrig. RIP.
Rathmore won their 1st O Donoghue Cup in 1963, beating Dr Crokes in the final, halting Crokes attempt at 8 in a row. Rathmore also became the 1st non Killarney team to win this most coveted trophy. Captain was Connie Doherty from Lisnagrave.
