I wasn’t prepared for how hard it would be to wake up in a world without you Tally. But I will try and be as strong for you as you always were for me. I hope one day our souls meet again, but if they don’t, I hope your soul finds someone who needed you as much as I did. Love you.
Some day when Jack Gohlke is teaching high school social studies, he's going to tell his students about the time he dropped 30 on Kentucky and no one is going to believe him
Currently, every single flight from Omaha to Memphis is sold out on Southwest for the day before Nebraska's tournament opener. I'm really proud of you fellow Nebraskans. You done good.
Rhule says of today’s game “hopefully we were able to bring people some joy after a dark day yesterday”. And that, friends, is why Nebraska football matters. It’s why sports matter.
Whipple should be fired before they get back to the locker room. And Mickey should be told he won’t be named head coach. Total failure on both levels today.
One of the most important steps for Nebraska football is going to be having the ability to have a super hyped up game and showing up for it . . . thats not something we've seen in a long time and would be a clear sign of progress in year 2 under Rhule
Man, great reporting by KETV. The more we learn about the situation, the worse it looks for Trev Alberts. Maybe he really is exactly who UNO people warned us he was.
#Breaking
: Nebraska Gov. Jim Pillen and the Board of Regents were actively working to retain former athletic director Trev Alberts just hours before his departure, according to messages obtained by KETV.
I think the most damning thing about Nebraskas loss yesterday was the fact that after taking the 31-28 lead with 11:34 left, northwestern didn’t attempt a single pass the rest of the game. Fitzgerald just hunkered down and bet Nebraska couldn’t make winning plays. He was right.
Thank god Sean McDermott and Zac Taylor are actual human beings and pulled their teams off the field unlike whoever’s decision it was to give them 5 minutes to get ready to play after seeing someone get CPR and AED right in front of them. I mean wtf are we doing
Nebraska was the best program in the country and hired an assistant who had never even been a coordinator. it was a hire to appease Osborne, and appeasing Osborne has been a poison in the program ever since.
I really cannot thank
@JohnBishop71
enough for letting me join him on the Creighton call today. For a kid that grew up listening to the Jays on the radio, this really was a dream come true. I had a ton of fun and am overwhelmed by everyone’s support. Thank you all.
Nebraska played a perfect first half outside of the errors by Sims. You can’t continue to punish the rest of the team by running him out there. Accountability matters. Sims has to be accountable.
Here’s the thing. Even if all you can do with Haarberg is hand off and qb run, what message are you sending to the rest of the team about keeping each other accountable if you keep running Sims out there
Go back and watch the Chubba Purdy interception. Kemp beat his man and then Colemans route brought his defender to Kemp who picked it. The question is, did Coleman run the wrong route or was it terrible play design or was Purdy supposed to wait for Coleman to clear?
A wise man once said "when you've been unselfish for so many years, and you've done the right thing, just once, you want somebody to go to bat for you". I really feel that lately.
Dan Hurley had an extended exchange with the student section while heading back to the locker room. Letting a bunch of 22 year olds live rent free in your head is peak Hurley energy.
Well I suppose now is as good of a time as any to announce that I have recently joined
@HurrdatSports
as a content creator. I will be cohosting Coffee and Cream Thursday and Friday this week and all of next week with my guy
@damonbenning
for my official Hurrdat debut.
The last 18 minutes of the first half for Creighton might be the best 18 minutes any college basketball team has played all season. Outscored the unanimous top team in the country 43-22 over that stretch.
If you want to win a board of regent seat in a land slide, campaign on one issue and one issue alone; your sole agenda is to get Nebraska football back on track. To hell with all of the other policy pushing.
Creighton had the ball down 1 with under 90 seconds to go. Jays had no business being in this game and they were that close to winning it. No quit in these Jays. College basketball world, this is your notice that Creighton is on the way.
It’s a little thing but at the post game presser they said one more question for Coach Rhule, and he answered but then he said something to the effect of “after a game like that, you deserve to have all your questions answered” and stayed for about 5 more minutes. I liked that.
I’ve struggled with whether or not to share this publicly but I like to think I’m as much myself as possible on here and it felt weird not sharing a pretty major thing going on in my life right now. So here it is:
Just out here waiting for Dylan Raiola to commit, so here’s a stupid joke to help you waste 30 seconds:
The only thing flat earthers have to fear is sphere itself.
Alright back Raiola watch.
I can’t believe Creighton was able to win that game after what happened to Nembhard. Prayers up for the young man and big props to the rest of the Jays for stepping up for a huge road win. Trey Alexander has a chance to be that dude.
The enormous middle finger the regents just gave to Trevor Benedict Alberts by picking his guy a week after he left is incredible. No notes. 10/10 petty
BREAKING | The Nebraska Board of Regents picked Dr. Jeffrey Gold, chancellor of UNMC, to become the priority candidate of the university system.

Watching McKenzie Milton almost beat Notre Dame on one leg after not playing football for 3 years, makes Frosts 13-0 at UCF with a healthy Milton make way more sense
Six months ago I received news so discouraging that I started researching disability options for partial and total blindness. Today, I received some terrific news from the amazing doctor that saved my vision. Dr. Priluck is my hero. More below
Power struggles in college athletics are not uncommon.
Today on Hurrdat Sports Radio,
@damonbenning
and
@ralulla
emphasize the importance of persevering.
I said this on
@1620TheZone
this morning but I will post it here as well so I can brag if I’m right and pretend like it never happened if I’m wrong. This is not sourced info but my logical deductions. I think Luke Fickell is your next head coach at Nebraska.
Creighton should allow any and all men's basketball players to speak freely and openly regarding their feelings on McDermott's comments. That is a must in my mind. No more filters.
A lot of people wondered why I was so adamant that Frost wasn’t going to turn it around, and it’s because I started hearing things like this fairly regularly. It’s also why I was convinced the root problem was accountability from the top down. This thing was broken beyond repair.
“It wasn’t about the losses… It was about everything”
@MikelSevere
joined us on Sunday for his reaction to the

firing. Worth a listen…

Two things you love to see. Jeff Sims being the first guy to hug Haarberg as he comes off the field and Anthony Grant getting a little redemption with that touchdown.

BREAKING: Four-Star RB Jamarion Parker has Committed to Nebraska, he tells me for
@on3recruits
The 6’0 190 RB from Saint Louis, MO chose the Cornhuskers over TCU, Illinois, & Alabama
Is the 2nd Highest-Ranked Recruit in Nebraska’s ‘25 Class (per On3 Industry)…
If you don’t think Nebraska is going to be good this year, that’s fine, you’re wrong, but that’s fine. Just miss me with the “offensive line was bad take”. It wasn’t last year and it’ll be better this year.
What Colorado is doing is undeniably impressive and I think their offense is genuinely good but it has to be mentioned that I believe TCU’s defense is truly and horrifyingly bad
Arguably Nebraskas two worst units (offensive and defensive lines) are the two most important units on the field. Their ability to overcome those units to be in the game today is actually pretty impressive but still infuriating to watch
Bob Knight has the biggest flex of all time. Calling Michael Jordan the greatest basketball player he’s ever seen before MJ played a single pro game. Reportedly told gm’s to take Jordan and when they said “we need a center” he replied with “then play Jordan at center”
Surgery went well. Should know more about my prognosis in the next few weeks. Sincerely appreciate all of the support everyone has shown me. You all are the best.
I’ve struggled with whether or not to share this publicly but I like to think I’m as much myself as possible on here and it felt weird not sharing a pretty major thing going on in my life right now. So here it is:
I can’t really describe how difficult the last 24 hours have been on me from a health standpoint, so I will just say that I’m grateful to still be here
Got some encouraging news at the check up today. The healing in my right eye is ahead of schedule and much better than they anticipated considering the condition it was in prior to surgery. Still won’t know a full prognosis for a few weeks but today was a good day.
It’s been a pretty scary and overwhelming last couple weeks and I try to put on a brave face but for the first time in a minute, I feel like everything’s going to be ok.
