Had the honor of creating a 2019 edit for Jevon over the last few weeks. Went super heavy on After Effects for this one to give it an anime theme and learned a ton of new techniques in the process. Was dope working with you on this
@HollywoodVon
I appreciate the opportunity 🙏
8 years ago, while learning how to edit video, I began producing a series dedicated to the man who brought a winning culture to my favorite football team.
That man watched that series this week and as of today, I begin work with Pete Carroll’s creative team.
Dream —> Reality
I’ll just get it out there now. If Marshawn Lynch comes back to Seattle for Week 17 and we beat the 49ers to take the division, there will be a new Rain City Redemption episode in the works.
The only person this truly truly sucks for is Josh Gordon. So before you drag this dude on Twitter on your way to the dispensary, recognize that this is someone else’s life and not your own. These are someone else’s problems and not your own. Show some respect and move on.
I said Russell Wilson would become the face of the Seahawks franchise the second he was drafted. I don’t care if I keep beating the drum... it’s my greatest take lol
Learning that Russell Wilson and Marshawn Lynch weren’t close during their time in Seattle is the most surprising thing I’ve seen in awhile. Their personalities are so similar and everyone on that Seahawks team loved Wilson. I’m just simply shocked they didn’t hang out often.
Josh Gordon’s time in Seattle was shortly lived but fun while it lasted. His last catch as a Seahawk will go down as one of the best in 2019. I am grateful and wish him the best.
The Seahawks beat the NFL's last undefeated team two days ago on the road in what was arguably Russell Wilson's worst game of the season. I love Russell Wilson. He's the league's MVP for god's sake. But stop perpetuating the notion that this is a one man team.
The king’s ransom to obtain RW. The shit talk from DEN fans in the aftermath of the trade. The figurative parade the city threw upon his arrival. The extension they paid him.
All of it for a 3-7 record and to be dead last in scoring offense. It’s been unbelievably satisfying.
Seahawks are 9-2. They have the 2nd best record in the NFL through 12 weeks and this will be their 8th straight winning season. But Pete Carroll punts on 4th and 1! We simply cannot have this. He’s no Sean McVay and it’s embarrassing. Fire him immediately.
Seattle went 9-7 in 2017. They lost 11 starters and fired their off and def coordinators. They followed up that exodus by going 10-6 with a playoff appearance in 2018. They are now in position to win 12-14 games in 2019 - less than two years removed from a massive transformation.
Fuck the motherfucking Cowboys. Fuck their fans... their shit ass owner... their shit ass stadium... shit ass quarterback and shit ass running back. Fuck. Send tweet.
Congratulations to
@PeteCarroll
on his 100th win as head coach of the Seattle Seahawks. To celebrate, we present to you a time capsule of each individual win over the past decade; from 2010 to the present.
January 19, 2014: Seahawks beat the 49ers 23-17 in the NFC Championship Game.
After the game, Sherman rips Niners WR Michael Crabtree in an interview w/ Erin Andrews.
The fact Felix never pitched a playoff game here is something I may never get over and may never forgive the Mariners for.
Seriously.
It’s like... against the laws of life.
Richard Sherman (among many other reasons) is a Seahawk legend for being the best CB in the NFL during his time here. Also making the greatest play in Seattle sports history - which dismantled an era for SF.
Apparently he’s a 49ers’ legend for something he said on a podcast.
Richard Sherman absolutely went OFF on the Seahawks, he's a 49ers' legend in my book:
"You have not been anywhere close to a Super Bowl letting Russ [Wilsonn] cook... you will not be anywhere close to a Super Bowl letting him throw 30-40 times a game."
The Seahawks have the 3rd most wins in the last decade and there are fans that will tell you our fan base has it the worst of any franchise.
The Mariners haven’t made the playoffs in 20 seasons. Fans will argue over the enjoyment of winning.
Fandom is in fact an illness.
Despite plenty of criticism surrounding his decision, Pete Carroll decided to start 2012 with newly-acquired 5'11", 3rd-round draft pick, Russell Wilson.
And thus began a new era in Seattle.
Rain City Redemption: Episode Three - Part One (Remastered)
Barista: Any plans for the weekend
Me: Not really
Barista: Well the Hawks play on Sunday. Idk if you’re into that or...
Me: Yea nah...
Barista: Well you should give it a try! The Seahawks are a fun team
So, I’m gonna try the Seahawks thing out. Will report back.
You’ve got a group of people here that (just days ago) were bitching that this org isn’t doing anything to help Russ in a “win now” window.
They went out and got one of the best players in the league and those same people are furious.
This is Seahawks Twitter in a nutshell.
Culture matters. It’s been said five million times but the Seattle Seahawks are a special organization. There’s a reason all these guys come back in some form or fashion. Credit Pete.
Yall have no idea what it’s like to support this team
- Losing to teams you should stomp with ease
- Either win our way or no way (no adjustments)
- Out-coached by teams with brains
- One side of the ball is always trailing the other by a vast amount
- Wasting premier talent
