I attended the funeral of Gen & Mrs Rawat at Brar Square y'day where I met Mrs Geetika Lidder & saw her comforting Kritika & Tarini, the CDS's daughters. Her own husband, Brig LS Lidder, was cremated a few hours ago & his pyre was still burning. Courage & dignity beyond words. 🙏

5 yrs ago, on the evening of Dec 17, the govt announced Gen Bipin Rawat would succeed Gen Dalbir Singh as army chief. Vice chief then, Gen Rawat was at work till 2230h. The following evening we were honoured to be with Gen & Mrs Rawat on the big day. Prayers with their daughters.
