Sugar is not “poison”, all micro/macronutrients are fine in moderation. Do your best to avoid highly refined carbohydrates (added sugars). Fruit is fine as it has fibre to accompany the sugar which will prevent the dramatic spike in blood glucose, not to mention other micro’s.
