Here’s our brand new video for Flex from our new e.p. Either we have become very young or It features long lost footage from 24 years ago in the studio. Thanks to delightful Michael Harrison for making it.

Recovered from the archives and 25 years old. Nice swimming pool shot! Ha, wasn’t a lie about us forming under a table at Leicester Poly and wanting to be the most depressing band in the world though.
We’ve just had our 30th Birthday. To celebrate here’s excerpts from our first ever practice as a four piece, consisting of
@DERRYMICK
@patdelay
, Tim and Geordie Mick - in the dark and all improvised. Not sure ‘enjoy’ is the right word but anyway.
We start our small UK tour in a week and are getting a bit excited now. We’ll be playing a set including some songs that we haven’t played for a very long time (hopefully). Still some tickets left. Excited to see if Skol is still on the rider.
Exciting release news for Record Store Day! A limited edition vinyl reissue of backsaturday on lovely
@GlassRedux
. We’re also releasing the Flex e.p. tomorrow on bandcamp with a new Flex edit and previously unreleased stuff.
Here are the links for tickets for our autumn UK mini-tour. See you there hopefully! More info to follow.

Such very sad news. RIP Andy Wright. Sending our condolences to his family. He was such a vital part of the Leicester music scene and always appreciate how he put us on when no one else would in the early 90s.
Andy Wright, the man who *was* the Princess Charlotte and did so much to promote independent music in Leicester passed away today. RIP Andy, we love you.

It’s the 25th anniversary (this week) of the release of our single T.C.R. So we’ve put it on Apple Music, Spotify etc with B side Irritating Radiator - from Friday 23 October. Here’s the video with us being driven round on a big truck with hangovers.
A mainly true tour story that Mick Harrison unearthed from the gossip column of a 1996 issue of Melody Maker. The rollerblader is most likely a cabinet minister today.
Ooh get this - it's only that
@prolapseband1
session on test pressing ... “I know what you’re thinking, sounds like 2 records being played at the same time” acc to
@keepingitpeel
🤣 All the better for that, of course. Two gatefold singles to be released, er, some time.
Hard-edged shoegazers swimming against the tide of Britpop..that must have been us then. It was a hard swim looking at all those pedals at the same time though.
Ghosts of Dead Aeroplanes was released 20 years ago today apparently. So here’s something from it.

The heady days of PISS, the Prolapse Information and Slippage Service - pre-social media. Turk wrote it and stuck down all the envelopes apparently. Cheques payable to ???!Thanks to Stephen Robinson on FB for the pic.

We’ve had some very sad news that Karen Childs
@westendlanegirl
, who brilliantly dealt with our press in the 90s, passed away peacefully after a long illness on Sunday. This a picture of Karen and Pat in New York on the Empire State Building on a Prolapse trip. ..
Here’s when

caught

running off and joining Th’ Faith Healers for one song at the Piao! Festival, which there’s been a bit of twitter about lately thanks to

Mick Harrison’s dream 5 years ago before our gig with
@mogwaiband
:
Roundhouse anxiety dream. Kept losing booze, no matter what we did we just couldn't set our gear up, leads everywhere, leads wouldn't reach, a lead even got stuck to someone's shoe and I had to run after them.
Just in case you didn’t know already, we’re looking forward to making a rare live appearance -
in London in September

@UpsetTheeRhythm
Still some tickets available here.
The

keyboard has been rediscovered in rural Worcestershire. Must have been bought with our huge advance from Lissys. The key that feel off must have been tired of being taped down.
In two weeks time we’re playing
@TheYTheatre
in Leicester with the very excellent musical groups
@yeahyeahnoh2
and the People Assembly. Still some tickets available here
Really chuffed Pointless Walks to Dismal Places on

Something new from one of us! Mick Harrison’s just released this beauty from his upcoming National Screen Service album. It features Paul Saarnak from the wonderful

on drums.
C**ts Are Still Running The World by Jarvis Cocker would be a very suitable Xmas No 1 for 2019. It needs to be bought by Thursday - it’s already at no 29. Please share.
