VCU will be hiring Utah State coach Ryan Odom, sources told CBS Sports. A deal is not yet done, but the transition is not expected to take long. VCU athletic director Ed McLaughlin has a longstanding relationship with Odom and, per sources, made overtures earlier this week.

The problem is that Loyola was picked in the 5-7 range in the preseason, compared to 10-12 for Richmond. Outside of a Spiders collapse its easily Mooney’s award to lose. But Valentine definitely in second.

There weren't many signs that VCU was going to be looking for a coach this offseason but they were ready at the drop of a hat to make an offer for the best option in the market. VCU's athletic department operates as arguably the best mid-major in the country.

I love Archie Miller, but this is an ejection for me. Was not intentional but watch the video, double T and ejection. As a coach, you cannot play defense and run toward a player while you are on the court. This impacts the Dayton player Brea.
