We've never seen 66% of patients in ICU (211) being treated for the same illness. We're battling hard to sustain safe levels of care but its getting harder.300 patients are also receiving respiratory support outside of ICU. Nothing is more serious. #StaySafe @HSELive #COVID19

A great National milestone today. Over 70% of the adult population are now fully vaccinated & 85% partially. Over 50,000 more vaccines administered yesterday. With this continued pace, we all want to reverse the trend on Delta and protect more & more people from illness. @HSELive

Some upbeat & a cautionary update. Now over 5.1M vaccines administered. 63% of adults are now fully vaccinated & 76% partially. Very high levels of testing yesterday with 8.4% positivity. But hospitalisations & ICU are holding well. Enjoy the sun and take care. @HSELive

Today there are 36 confirmed #COVID19 cases in ICU. We hope they all recover well. This is down from 160 people in early April. I want to pay a special thanks to our Critical Care teams across the country. You have all been superb throughout. @HSELive

It's been such a tough 16 months for everyone, you've got to keep sharing the good news as it comes. We're now down to just 54 positive #COVID19 inpatients in hospital. Having spent time yesterday with staff in the Regional Hospital Mullingar, this brings such relief. @HSELive

Great milestones today on the vaccination programme. 0ver 80% of adults now fully vaccinated & almost 90% partially. 65,000 12-15 year olds have registered & many of these will be administered this weekend. Ireland is right be proud the programme & the public's response @HSELive

#COVID19 This morning 99.2% of people did not test positive over the last 7 days. 21 patients in ICU, down 87% on the peak of 160. 50 confirmed patients in hospital, down 94% on the peak of 879. We can do this together. @HSELive
