One of my favorite things about George Lucas was how he kept making stuff whether it was successful out of the gate or not. He made Young Indy for *years* after it was cancelled. It was his money, after all. What mattered more was if he was having a good time doing it. :)

This week’s #Mandalorian has the on-screen debut of a character that I created as a sort of inside joke with casting that pays off that joke and it happened completely organically (that is, I didn’t know it happened until it happened) and that’s really rather cool. Fun stuff.

This shot of Luke's X-wing from Empire (left) is at the 36 minute mark, just a minute off where it is reused in Return of the Jedi (right) at 37 minutes. The recycling of this footage spared Red 5 from being, presumably, forgotten at Cloud City. It was almost a different X-wing.

Not sure where this stunt-viz footage is coming from, but it’s cool to see again. That’s Michael Byrne (who would end up being Palpatine’s dueling double) as Obi-Wan. Hayden was down in Sydney for a month or so before Ewan was free to join, and made excellent use of the time.
