LOL. 1st the visa process. Then the smelly toilets at MMA, then airport officials asking anything for me? Then touts when you come out of the airport, then SARs along airport road as you drive out, then no running water in hotel. That’s just day 1. Landmark ko. AirField Ni.
The Eiffel Tower welcomes seven million visitors a year and makes an annual revenue of £71 million. How can Nigeria position it's landmarks for similar gains?
I see one of my ogas in Addis. She’s headed to Nigeria. I give her my card. She loses her wallet in Lagos. Malik (in Lagos) finds the wallet, calls me because he sees my card in wallet. I’m in London, call Lagos office, colleagues retrieve wallet.

For the first time since we’ve had kids, we have no maid or nanny. In less than one month, I kid you not, we can see they are more responsible - no one to clean up after them, sense has fallen on them 😂 When we get new help, we now know to make sure they retain their chores...

As someone who has talked about Post Covid Recovery, I stand corrected and duly ‘guided’!! This is so true.
#PostCovidReimagination
Thank you ma as always!
When I hear African political and policy leaders trumpet “post-Covid recovery”, one cringes.
No dears, you cannot be talking of “recovery” because what poorest level are you wanting to recover to?
Let’s upgrade please.
The world; especially Africa should be “Reimagining” now✍🏾

Haven’t watched the interview. I won’t lie, there’s a part of me that thinks so too. However, Nigeria has broken my heart too many times. That part of me (that is believing Jide) has been locked down and thrown into the abyss.
Africa imports almost 94% of the pharmaceutical products it uses. (

You understand ???? And sensible people are 1. Not waiting around to be greeted 2. Not coming on social media to complain about not being greeted. Issa wonderful something.
@DoubleEph
😭😭 Such a funny (and reassuring) thread - my younger son doesn’t eat stew - he’d rather eat the rice white. And wants to put ketchup in everything - bread, indomie, yam... I thought for sure I had done something wrong but no stew seems to be a common thing. Phew.
So I saw something yesterday and I don’t know how I feel about it. I was flying from Nairobi to Kigali and an obviously Nigerian guy, ahead of me on the queue into the airport, happened to be on the same flight as me.

I think it’s in the interest of self preservation. We’ve seen too many pple ‘disappeared’, brutalised & economically sidelined cos of their engagement. I think it’s also why Diaspora are sometimes more vocal; We have country-based activists of course, often at great personal cost
Many governments are focused on doing what is best for said government (and their cronies). Know this and know peace. And oh, vote wisely when / if you have the chance.
For the avoidance of doubt, when you say “I couldn’t agree more”, it means that you completely agree. When you say “I couldn’t agree less”, it means you completely disagree.
My America husband (who's lived and worked in countries around world) reaction was to say "this is the kind of thing which I thought only happened in developing countries, or failed states." Quite. It's simply unbelievable, and I feel both revolted and outraged.
You people that answer your phones in the middle of public events and start fake whispering, I am here to tell you that we can hear you and you are disturbing us.
