Square it is proving popular this morning, although some are finding it frustrating! If you are struggling to beat the computer, play a few games against a family member and work together to find strategies.
Here's an idea for the first maths lesson of term - The Factors and Multiples puzzle. Great opportunity to assess prior knowledge and to see how children work cooperatively.

Tuesday's primary puzzle 'Seeing Squares' is now live! They can challenge a friend or our computer to be the first to build a square, then compare their strategy others using our 'Student solutions'

Our Countdown interactivity has had a makeover! As before, you can adjust the difficulty level and use all four operations, but there's a new option revealing different ways to reach the set total - supporting the rich discussion of alternative methods
4 weeks to go! Make every day a problem-solving day this summer with NRICH, we'll be publishing a daily problem for primary and secondary-aged learners every weekday from Monday 19th July right up until 31st August.
