The cat is finally out of the bag. My new brand/company @dometrain (), is now live! For the past few months, I've been working on rebranding my courses website, not only to give it a fresh coat of paint but also to make sure it is a great home for more…

I never understood using .NET projects to physically separate architecture layers. Are the projects reused? Are they packaged and published individually? If you said no to any of these questions then just use folders. Your developers can be trusted to respect logical boundaries.

Hiring for senior .NET developers in the UK is so damn hard. There are 5-6 big companies that all compete for a fairly small talent pool. Yes, this includes remote and hybrid models being an option. It still really hard to find good talent.

I love it when developers say things like "Azure is better than AWS" or "GCP is better than Azure". As if your decision isn't based on which one your company happened to have picked for reasons irrelevant to the engineering itself.

Minimal APIs made it easier for junior devs to pick up .NET but the Clean Architecture stuff can sure look like a mountain to climb. I need to do some research on other langs/frameworks because I feel this (needless) complexity is a .NET community thing

I find it so weird how people really wanna hate on Minimal APIs. We live in an ecosystem where (for some weird reason) simplicity equals bad, as if there must be a catch somewhere, and then we're wondering why new devs are picking Python and JS over C#

Ok, the DotNetIsolator library that @stevensanderson showcased is REALLY cool. Here I send C# to the server through a POST request, which gets compiled, loaded and then run in an isolated WASM sandbox. So cool.
